As an HOA in East Oakland, we were dealing with ongoing issues with our irrigation system and decided it was time to replace the area with turf. We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with Handy Up.
From the very first visit, Josh impressed us with his knowledge, professionalism, and expertise. He took the time to explain exactly what the project would involve, and we immediately felt confident that we were in good hands. We only had a general vision for the project — installingturf, restoring the pathways, and repairing fence boards — but Josh helped bring everything together seamlessly.
He promptly provided us with a fair and reasonable quote and was able to start the work without delay. Throughout the entire project, Josh was communicative, reliable, and kept us updated on the progress every step of the way.
His crew was outstanding: hardworking, skilled, efficient, and clearly experienced in their craft. As Josh told us, “Once we start a job, we finish it,” and they absolutely delivered on that promise. The project was completed on schedule, and the team left the area spotless afterward.

We had a small section of dirt we wanted to put turf in. It was a smaller project but HandyUp made time for us in their busy schedule. They were quick with responses and clearly communicated details and quotes. No hidden costs or miscommunication. In addition, they were punctual showed up right on time, ensured we were aligned with the output and immediately got to work accomplishing the project. We loved the work they did very very professional and cleaned up after themselves. Would definitely recommend hiring HandyUp if you are looking for help with a project if you are looking for a great company to work it.

Used Handy up for replacing mulch with river rock and fixing irrigation line around the house. I had great experience working from start to the end, had one of the best experiences of any other landscape project.

Amazing transformation: professional work at a really fair price!
We are extremely impressed with the professionalism, hard work and quality of work which HandyUp completed on our side yard.
HandyUp team transformed our side yard by the deck from a mud pit into a beautiful oasis in just a day and a half. We didn’t know what to do with this space. It was an eyesore and would get really muddy in the winter.
We consulted with HandyUp team and they helped suggest the scope and shape of the work. They advised us on what to do to make it look so good, and he executed the work quickly.
They were prompt, arrived when they said they would, and managed all of the building materials themselves.
All this beautiful work done in less than a day and a half!
