I have a passion for teaching, and am a successful performer as well. I pride myself on making lessons fun as well as informative. I teach the 'whole musician'. We of course work on the important stuff, like tone, breathing, technique and general musicality. But we also spend a great deal of time talking about how to practice a piece. I have found that effective practice makes for a much more successful outcome! Students find they can practice less amounts of time to achieve the better result. Students that take virtual lessons with me also get group classes for FREE!!! Yes music theory, music history, flute studio class, and virtual recitals! I also incorporate singing into lessons (don't be scared!). The voice is our first form of communication, and subtle musical nuances are often felt and heard through the voice- which can be translated into the flute. As a performer myself I play a wide variety of styles. My last album debuted on the Billboards top 10, at #3. My true passion is getting a student to really enjoy music. Each lesson is custom tailored to the individual. I am finding lots of creative techniques and resources to use online!
