Alisa is very professional. Her food was very delicious and everyone enjoyed her cooking. On Nov 9, 2014 our non profit outreach organization held a fund raising event. Everyone told me her food was out of this world. I highly recommend Alisa's services. Alisa is amongst the best around the Bay Area. My husband Garth, myself and our volunteers enjoyed Alisa and her tasty dishes.
Dining at Graceful Kitchen, Grace Zhous pop-up restaurant, was a unique and delightful experience. Grace planned a series of original and authentic courses, taking into account vegetarian preferences, which were cooked and served with style. The setting was immaculately prepared, courses arrived within a reasonable time, and guests were entertained with music and conversation. Regulars are only sorry that she moved to another country!
My partner and I just had our first cooking/nutrition lesson with Daniella and we LOVE her!!! Learned how to grocery shop cheap, healthy, tasty and organic. Then had tons of yummy receipes for the week from marinating meat, making homemade dips/sauces to healthy/tasty snacks. She is so kind, easygoing, fun and knows her cooking stuff! :) We are signed up for more weekly cooking lessons and so happy we got connected with Daniella. Thank you!
Zach was excellent! We had a total of 6 private cooking lessons over the course of 4 months. Each time he came to our house for a couple hours as we created a wide variety of my favorite dishes from local restaurants in Sonoma. He taught us ways to modify a meal so you could have more variety with the same dish by just changing a few spices or ingredients, what to look for to know you're on the right track or how to "save a dish" if you veer off, and different techniques that were really useful. I'd highly recommend him!
We had a fantastic experience hiring John, and I would unreservedly recommend him. I was hosting an 8-person dinner party with a group of international friends at a rental property in Sonoma in mid November. He was very responsive to my fairly vague request on Thumbtack, instantly proposing a delicious-sounding 4 course meal with appetizers that took account of my preference for mostly vegan dishes. He was flexible and easy to work with at a very reasonable price point. He arrived on time with his wife to help, and they cooked, served and cleaned very professionally with a great friendly attitude. I would certainly hire him again.
We had Anja come over and do a cooking class for our company employees and significant others. She helped craft an amazing menu, wine pairings and tasty treats. Everything went off without a hitch and people couldn't stop raving about how much they enjoyed her instruction. While the food was great, it was her personality and pleasant spirit that really made this an awesome experience. Couldn't recommend her more highly.

Jess taught a cooking class for my sister's bachelorette party, and did a fabulous job. All the food was delicious, she included everyone, and she tailored the class to fit our lack of experience. We all learned so much and had a great time, as well! I highly recommend her.
I have thoroughly and consistently enjoyed Laura's gourmet cooking over many years. At one point, I was on a very restricted diet, and Laura's cooking made the experience a delight. She has a remarkable facility with a variety of cuisines, with a special talent for Italian.

I did a 3-hour cooking class with Alejandra. She is fantastic! She is an excellent teacher, both with respect to general culinary techniques and to details of specific recipes. Her food is fresh, tasty, and quite simple to prepare. She establishes a friendly, easy-going atmosphere in the class, and has a great sense of humor. She is superbly trained in classical French cuisine but also has experience in Thai and Ecuadorian foods. Yes, she went above and beyond what I expected. What could have been improved? Well, nothing! I took a cooking class with Inbal and a small group of friends and was very satisfied by the experience. Inbal is extremely knowledgable and was very gracious and answered all of our silly questions. There was so much very basic info we didn't know! The biggest benefit for me was learning how to keep cooking simple. I tend to over think things and end up getting overwhelmed. Cooking isn't as scary anymore. I would definitely recommend her classes.
Anita is knowledgeable and explains clearly any cooking steps. Its a pleasure to cook as she teaches and one gains a secure understanding of the recipe since she allows for the student their own thinking space and doesn't "hold your hand" too much.
Tessa is an amazing culinary instructor and chef! My boyfriend and I took her Thanksgiving Basics class and loved it. The class was informative and fun, with the perfect balance of hands-on cooking and demonstrations. We got to take home some delicious recipes handcrafted by Tessa - which I will definitely using for Thanksgivings to come!
I had friends visiting from out of town and wanted to host a dinner party at my home for them. All my guests were picky eaters in one way or another, so I hired Chef John to prepare a customized meal to suit the tastes of all my guests. Chef John worked with me to come up with a full menu of appetizers, a salad, main dishes and desserts. Everything was amazing and each guest was thrilled to have their own custom made meal. The dessert was tiramisu which, I have to say, was the best I have ever had (and I have had LOTS of tiramisu in my life). Chef John cooked in my kitchen, cleaned up everything and left my kitchen spotless. Chef John is definitely my "go to" private chef from now on!
Transitioning from meat eater to vegetarian was smooth because of the effortless coaching from Tena. When purchasing my customized meal plan/grocery list, she put into consideration my individual tastes and equipment, which made detoxing enjoyable. The one thing I have to say that stands out when working with Tena is her customer service; she patiently answers questions and puts much thought and research into her responses. I had one of the best cooking experience with Chef Joe. The class was so well designed and the pace was just perfect for anyone with all sorts of cooking levels. Chef Joe was so knowledgable, patient, and he was also very funny. My boyfriend and I walked away leaning a tons!
My husband and I felt we needed to diversify our culinary knowledge so we called on Chef Yves. The classes were great (we took 3 classes). Lessons were very informative, creative, and hands on, all in a friendly ambiance. Chef Yves showed us different ways to cook more efficiently. We also learned nice plate setting decoration ideas. Chef Yves' experience from many countries in Europe is definitely a plus and a huge benefit in the overall experience. We asked many questions about regional culinary traditions.
