- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically price my jobs by the single roll. If you don't know how many rolls you need then I ask for the square footage or I come to your house and measure for you. From there I can determine how many rolls you need to complete your project.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started when I was in college as a part time job helping a friend of mine who started a wallpaper business. She trained me and then when she was moving out of the area she passed the business to me. I got a friend to join the business & trained her. I've spent over 30 years perfecting the trade. When customers ask how I got so good at it I just always say "practice makes perfect". My Mom said as a kid I loved to play with paper dolls so maybe that's where it started.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I worked with general contractors, interior designers, retirement homes, office buildings, home owners, restaurant owners, hospitals, hotels. Basically wherever you can imagine putting wallpaper.
