Chodosh Guitar

My name is Michael Chodosh. The big difference with me is my teaching method. I use several approaches which are balanced to include theory and technique with each song my students study. Just studying songs is not a good way to study music. It's fun, but not comprehensive enough to call a music lesson. Using this approach you will become a better musician as well as a better player. I have performed rock, top 40, country, show, jazz, big band, funk, r&b, folk and other styles of music with bands around the country for many years. As a teacher I work with; absolute beginners, performing professionals and even other guitar teachers who came to learn more about music and to improve their own technique. I can assure you that Chodosh Guitar is one of the very best. We are one of the only studios that offers reading and music theory along with a regiment of exercises, scales, arpeggios and song studies. I make sure that students are learning how to play songs they pick while following one of several proven methods of learning which are employed at Chodosh Guitar. These proven methods help you to reach your goals. Most guitar teachers today know how to play songs but many, if not most, can't read music or explain music theory. I offer it all to my students.
