FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I originally started as a hobbyist recording demos of my own songs. I discovered I was pretty good at it, and bands began hiring me. After years of practice, I went full time and haven't looked back. :-)
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I typically record a single, EP or full length album for a band from start to finish. We start with scratch guitars to a click. Then drums to those guitars and a click. The drums are then edited, and real guitar tracking and bass tracking comes next. Finally vocals, editing and mixing. Typically it takes 15-20 hours (sometimes more) to create one Radio-Ready track!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I must admit, I'm quite proud of how the A Memory Down record came out. They are now signed an on tour with the record we made. The label also did not have us re-mix, re-master or change anything! Also, apparently the Colorado Mammoth are playing the theme song "Amp It Up" that I produced/mixed and mastered.
