I started training with Barry in 2010 I believe. I was seeking a Jeet Kune Do instructor when I started training with Barry, but through the years have gained so much more than just martial arts training. Barry not only taught the ideas, concepts, and techniques of JKD, but he incorporated other martial arts to form a well rounded, well prepared student. In addition to that, he also helped me to realize my strengths and weaknesses as a martial artist and how to progress forward. Along with our training we also had fitness classes that kicked my butt. The fitness classes were still fun and enjoyable even though they were physically demanding, leaving me sore the next days. Barry trained us in small groups, he encouraged us to work together, to get to know each other, and to motivate each other. To this day the people I've met training with Barry are some of my best friends. Lastly, I have grown personally after training with Barry. By relating training to other aspects of life, Barry made it so training isn't "training" anymore it is just how you live your life. There is more I could touch on, but I'll end with learning what I have from Barry has helped me to refocus and lead a healthier life.

    The environment at Body Mind is calming and unique. My daughter has been training for 3 months now and I have seen a tremendous improvement in her self -confidence and mental well-being. As a parent I feel more assured knowing that she is learning valuable life skills and watching her improve in technique is rewarding for us both. George is an awesome instructor. He is patient, firm, and direct with the kids and his sense of humor really engages the students. My daughter has had other instructors that she has not felt as comfortable with. I really appreciate what Body Mind Systems has to offer. I recommend all my friends and family to take classes here. They are an amazing group of people!

    Tai Chi is an advanced level of martial arts, and it must be taught the proper way. The instructor Marek has had formal training in this area and is very patient. Before class a topic is discussed briefly that helps both mind and body and the class ends in meditation. I highly recommend Eclectic Ground

Sifu Adam Reed, an international champion in traditional Chinese martial arts, teaches every class personally. The people! I'm a natural teacher, and thrive on helping students reach the next level. Martial arts changes people in dramatic ways -- mental, emotional, and physical -- and I love watching the transformation over the years. Because of the sheer breadth of Chinese martial arts, I also have the pleasure of developing deep friendships with my students over the many years we train together.

    The Calmness of performing Tai Chi and the way it makes you feel once you have done an hour of the form. It brings a complete calmness and clears your mind of your daily routine while you are in deep thought of practicing the form. Even though Tai Chi is much slower pace than Kung Fu, you still work up a sweat and could burn up to 200 calories during one session.

    I have over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry. I have a background in many forms of fitness (i.e., yoga, Pilates, balance, kickboxing, Tai Chi, dance, cardio fitness, strength building/maintaining, fitness assessing, strong knowledge in nutrition, and much more). I have trained clients in their homes, in small groups, and in other public locations. I work with budgets and charge fair prices for my expert services. My average longevity of a PT client is 3 years. I have trained from ages 11 to 95. I have an associates degree in applied science in physical therapy. I have worked home health, school district, outpatient therapy, and in-hospital therapy. I currently focus on post therapy wellness. Post injury strengthening is a passion of mine. I think it is important not to only get the body well and strong, but to also accomplish it at a pace that is appropriate to avoid future re-injuries.

    2 car accidents changed my world- I personally have experienced (and still do) the healing benefits of Yoga/ Qigong. I used to take classes with Silver Sneaker groups at age 37! Now I still do- lol, but I can participate in almost any class with 2 herniated discs. I am passionate about helping others- genuinely care. My reward is watching others learn to help/ heal themselves. Helping others obtain their personal goals.
