FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuing education is required for us to stay connected to the NCCAOM, which claims it provides the public with " protection through quality credentials."
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As an In Vitro Fertilization nursing co-ordinator in the 1990's, I kept track for almost a year of which patients were receiving acupuncture as part of their IVF attempt. It became very clear that I was calling those patients who received acupuncture with the great news that their pregnancy test was positive, than for those who did not do acupuncture. This is what brought me into gaining the Master of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine and the beautiful practice I have now.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Taking the time to listen to my patients history, emotions, physical complaints and concerns. Providing gentle but very effective acupuncture treatments, whether they are going through IVF or attempting pregnancy with a more natural approach. Working with Chinese herbal medicine for patients who prefer a less expensive or more natural approach to pregnancy and for life needs in general.
