Fabulous Carla knows how to put together a fabulous function! Big or small, she covers all the bases and every step in between. A purple of weeks ago she threw an impromptu birthday lunch for me at a local eatery and invited several happily unexpected friends! It was wonderful, beautifully decorated and it was the best birthday celebration anyone could ask for! She's my 'It Girl' party planner for sure!

Though I reside in New York City, my husband and I recently purchased a vacation home in Estes Park, CO. It's an older home but still has such natural beauty which I needed help showcasing. A friend of mine referred me to Donna with DecorReform. I figured it was worth giving an interior decorator a try because I literally didn't know where to begin but knew I wanted to have it all set before our next trip for Valentine's Day. I can't express enough gratitude to Donna. She simply nailed it in every way! We haven't even met in person but I made arrangements for her to have access to the house in our absence and although I haven't seen it in person, the pictures and video sent are priceless making it even more exciting to visit! Jonathan was willing to work with my needs on my budget, which saved my wedding day because finding a reasonable decorator in the area was near impossible. He met with me a few times prior to the big day to ensure he understood what I wanted done. Due to the uniqueness of my situation I paid cash up front for his services, which at the time I was skeptical of, but now I would do it again any day. Jonathan went above and beyond what I needed done; when I walked into my reception hall it looks absolutely perfect! Everything went seemlessly I couldn't have dreamt of a better situation! Due to a death in the family, combining 3 households into 1 small house & an extended illness- we had lost control of our home. We had so much STUFF in stacks, in boxes & it was piled up EVERYwhere. We couldn't find anything, we were too embarrassed to let anyone into our home & we couldn't possible imagine that we would ever get it all organized. I had absolutely NO idea how or where to start and I was seriously depressed by the whole situation. I looked online for 'professional organizers' and am so glad I saw Allie's post. It was an extremely difficult call to make, but it all turned out so well that I'm very happy I did. I was worried about being judged, embarrassed & ashamed of how messy & cluttered everything was. I was absolutely dreading having to show all of it to someone, especially a stranger. But when Allie didn't run out of our house screaming, and instead seemed to already have a plan of not only WHERE & HOW to START, she was also able to envision what it all could become. With time, and due to Allie's excellent communication skills, it didn't take long for me to start feeling hopeful about our situation for the first time in a very long time. Very soon after Allie arrived for our initial consultation I knew I had made a good choice in calling her and as the work began & Allie helped me to actually find a "starting place" I was even happier that I found her. I'm not sure where to start when it comes to why Allie was so incredibly helpful to us. My moral was very low, I couldn't find a "starting point" and Allie almost immediately made me feel that it was doable and that it was possible to get our house back & to be able to enjoy it again. She had the knowledge of HOW to do it as well as a VISION of what it could be. Allie is also a great listener, sometimes her first idea of what to do w/ something wasn't a great fit to how we actually lived & she was always very flexible & open to making adjustments that would work for us. She has so many wonderful ideas about organizing homes, rooms & lives that I'm sure she's able to customize her plans to fit just about anyone's specific needs & wants. She has a great "eye" when it comes to style/colors/design and we ended up doing a bit of re-decorating too & that was a HUGE plus for me- & for us. It was the icing on the cake! I was continually impressed with Allie's eye for detail, her professionalism, work ethic (I seriously don't think she ever sat down in the months that she was with us) she appears tireless & she's surprisingly physically strong for her size, so don't let it fool you. :) I truly have never met anyone more reliable, more detailed oriented or more resourceful. Any BIG project I can imagine, whether it be organizing your house, planning your wedding or any other event that requires attention to details, timeliness and organizational skills are exactly the kind of thing that Allie is able to do, accomplish, make look easy & effortless. It doesn't hurt that she's a very very hard worker. In my experience, most people usually do not excel at ALL stages of a project. Some people are "big picture" people while others are better with details. It is no exaggeration to say that Allie is truly able to do it all: Set goals, plan how to accomplish them & what order things should be done in. There's her attention to detail and how quickly she seems to be able to pull things together that I have no doubt would've taken me at least 3 times longer. And all the while she's performing these organizational miracles, she's sweet, kind, TIDY, I mean very neat-- & somehow she keeps herself organized while fighting her way thru a huge mess. (It's actually pretty amazing to watch her work. Seriously. There were times when "Tasmanian Devil" or "Whirling Dervish" came to mind-- but in a GOOD way!) She's pretty darn amazing & I'm grateful for all of the different kinds of things she helped me with since meeting. She's also got a hilarious sense of humor once you get to know her! Even when I was feeling the most stressed & overwhelmed while we worked on my house, I never once saw Allie waiver in her professionalism or her personal belief (and vision) regarding the possibilities that were tangled up in our big messy pile of stuff. I honestly don't know anyone like her. I believe "overachiever" or "determined" might be good words to describe her, but she's not stubborn, at least not when it comes to her work (you would have to ask her husband about how she is when she's off the clock) It's not an exaggeration to say that Allie actually did change how I look at those things in life that torment us, that LOOM, that we try to avoid or we put off for as long as we can. Having seen her do what I really believed was the impossible (organizing my home, husband & 3 dogs) made a lasting impression on me & I'm grateful for that (probably unintended) gift she gave. I honestly would trust Allie with anything. If she says she'll do it, she will. If she says she'll be there, she will. And if she tells you that you can accomplish your goal, whatever it may be, you should believe her because she will guide you, motivate you & lead you thru it. AND, she's more than capable of just doing it herself, if that's what you're looking for.
Leah helped me design and decorate a study in my home. It went from being a spare bedroom to one of our favorite rooms in the house. She incorporated family keepsakes and new things to perfectly capture our personality! All of this was done on a small budget! She is easy to work with, flexible and creative!
Christine was the best wedding coordinator! My husband and I got married in Palm Springs. We starting working with Christine when we lived in Denver then we moved to NYC. She was amazing with all the back and forth that were involved planning a wedding across country. Not only did she completely manage day of coordination but did so much work on the back end to make our wedding happen. Christine worked with vendors, was our middle man for many conversations, and emails, and helped us get our pricing down with many vendors. I really appreciated her knowledge of this industry and having a person "on our side" that we could bounce ideas and pricing off was invaluable. A lot of our wedding was pieced together which made this even more valuable. We had our reception, ceremony, and party at a private estate. Therefore everything from our caterer, rentals, bookings, bartenders, decorations, flowers and everything had to be done by us! Christine was a huge part of making this all happen. As for the day of, it could not have been more perfect. She showed up big by managing all of the above so I was able to focus on my wedding day. I could not recommend her enough!
Elyse helped us with a graduation party, with everything from the theme to all the technical details needed to make a fantastic event! She was extremely helpful and professional in all aspects of the job, from the food, to the servers, to all the little things that just added to the special day. The quality of her work was outstanding and I expect to utilize her services in the future!
