FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$25/lesson for at least 30 minutes. $30/hour for voice classes for 2 or more family members in the same household. We review for 15-20 minutes last week's lesson; then learn new skills for the next 15-20 minutes. We make up missed lessons by adding 15 minutes to the next two week's lessons.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I teach my students weekly. I leave "practice notes" which help the student achieve their musical goals faster. I ask the student to commit to 30 minutes a day practice; at least 5 days a week, or the equivalent on the weekend (an hour Sat & Sunday). Correct practice is the only way to become really proficient on any instrument, including voice!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I majored in music at the University of Colorado/Boulder. I have been a professional musician since I was 16 years old. Dinner Theatre's, ski lodges, church music director, praise & worship leader, country opry's, blue grass bands, and presently singing with the Colorado Springs Chorale, and teaching music for over 30 years!
