Introduction
With D&M Handymen, I, Dan Robbins, will contact, come to quote the potential customer, and do the work. I arrive on time, and I keep in contact with my customers. I answer when you call, and won't leave you wondering what is the status is with a project. I don't surprise my customers with unexplained costs or delays. I clearly explain what I anticipate up front before any work is started, and continue to advise throughout the project as it progresses if necessary. I like to walk the homeowner through what I perceive to be the most time/cost effective route for their project. I'll explain my course of action but also the reason I'd like to approach it in that way. I and my friend Mike began working on our own homes over 13 years ago, shortly after becoming homeowners ourselves in Dayton OH. As young enlisted military members (Air Force), we didn't always have the money to pay for a plumber, electrician or handyman, so we learned to help ourselves, and began to work for our friends and neighbors. Mike is no longer part of D&M Handymen, as we parted when I moved from D.C. to Denver in 2016. He'll forever be my wingman, so the business will stay D&M Handymen until it ends.

Dan was on time, professional and courteous. He downloaded & read the instructions to assemble my treadmill prior to arriving and did a fantastic job! I'd refer to him again.

Dan responded promptly to the request. Provided a very reasonable quote and started the work the same day. Fixed some drywall cracking and replaced caulking in our baseboards Very professional and the work looks great. Highly recommend.

Bought a house it was nearly 100 years old and needed innumerable projects done. Dan can seemingly do anything, is easy to have around, honest and meticulous.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Each quote is specific to the customer, especially when working with those on fixed incomes. I work with my customers to ensure they get the safest and most cost-effective work completed that they need.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I walk through both the project and the estimated budget with the cusomer, to avoid any unexplained costs. I have experience in electrical materials retail as a former electrical department manager with Lowe's, and will share this experience with customers to avoid them paying unreasonable costs. After the costs are presented up front, a labor estimate is then laid out and explained as well.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Dan Robbins over a decade of military electrical experience, in addition to an entire home rewire and gas line install. To date, not a single electrical or gas line job has failed inspection or been delayed due to a failed inspection.
