Mike Cooper (and his co-photographer John) just photographed our wedding, and they were AWESOME! In a sentence, they are highly skilled and motivating photographers, professional businessmen, and genuinely nice people. Skilled and Motivating: Not only do our pictures look GREAT (in terms of Mike and John's photography skills), but both Mike and John were able to get us all laughing and smiling with their jokes and humorous comments. This lent to us looking natural in nearly every photo! Professional Businessmen: Mike is very responsive to e-mail, text and phone calls. He's easy to commuicate with, and was willing to cater to our needs. His contract was clear and easy to understand as well as very fair. He delivered our photos on time (via a USB drive), and made them accessible to us and our guests via a convenient website link. Genuinely Nice People: You know when you meet someone and you think to yourself, "They were really nice!", well that's what you'll think when you meet Mike and John. Constantly smiling and seemingly as happy as we were on our own wedding day, working with Mike and John will leave you feeling upbeat and positive! Rest assured, choosing Creative Exposures to photograph your wedding, or any of your other most important days will be a GREAT decision. We highly recommend them! Seth and Julia

Matt did an excellent job photograph our cycling event over the weekend! He showed up on time, was professional and did a great job capturing the atmosphere and taking good action shots. There was a little lag in communication and submitting the contract before, but overall recommended.

We - and I mean our entire family - loved David. We hired him because of his sense of place and his idea of telling a story with his photography. Blown away by his artistry and that he does weddings because he loves the joy of it. We are an older couple, and he captured our families, children and grandchildren, told the story of us. Attentive, creative, imaginative...my favorite comment of his about our wedding....its intimacy. After being referred to a couple of 'very important' photographers by our wedding planner whom we knew to be self-important, we loved having David at our wedding, he truly made it about us.

I'm a first time user of Thumbtack, and am very impressed with the service. My request for a professional photographer's service referred me to Colorado Visions Photography, and I was very pleased with the results. I got exactly the product photographs I wanted for my e-commerce business, selling home products online. The photographs are now online, and I think they will make a big difference in higher sales than all my competitors. I will definitely use Colorado Visions Photography again, and will use Thumbtack for my future needs.

Shanna was incredible. I still don't have the pictures from our wedding day yet (it was only a week and a day ago), but I am confident in my review of her work. She made my stress levels so calm. We found her on thumbtack, set up a meeting in January and hired her instantly. I had such a good feeling about her work and loved that she was a self taught natural light photographer. My wedding was mountain rustic, outdoor setting and needed someone with that perfect eye to capture our special day without white washed backgrounds in every photo like most photographers end up doing. Shanna was super professional but by the end of the wedding felt like a long time friend. She agreed to take our family & bridal party photos up in Rocky Mountain National Park and I couldn't have had a better experience. Not once were we rushed or hurried by her. She confidently executed the photos so I didn't have to think on my wedding day and It was amazing. The photos we took up in the national park on a holiday weekend are going to be stellar and I can't wait to frame some and put them on my wall for years to come. Thank you Shanna for making my special day so incredible with your talents. xoxo -Angela & Sam

A++++ My home (Bet Kelev - The House of Dog) is done in K9 Judaic and it has been featured in the Rocky Mtn News when it was around. At one time Bet Kelev was to be featured on HGTV - but the series was cancelled. I treasure the oil paintings of my dogs past and present and have a major portrait of each generation gracing the living room wall. I have, in the past, spared little expense on these portraits - hiring 'big name' hotsy totsy well well known photographers. Now please don't get me wrong, I am not unhappy with the portrait of Moolah, Buddy, Ricki and Nicki nor the one of Moses, Elle and Max. But... The portrait just done by Sarah DeGroot is terrific - in a different league. Capturing black standard poodles is no small feat - and the portrait was done in the living room - not a studio unlike the others - and quite frankly far far superior - and far far less costly. (She should raise her rates!) Also note a close friend who represented nationally the Pentax account (when it was Number 1 in the US) who knows photography - was very impressed as doing black dogs 'is very very difficult.' He explained why technically but I still have no idea - other than this is the best portrait of my dogs - period. Photographing black dogs let alone my Sinai Standard poodles (Reb Simcha & Her Ladyship Goodie)is difficult - just think how well Sara would do with even easier subjects and less demanding guardians than this Man of Dog for family portraits Would I hire Sara again? Marvin, and his business Marvelous Images, are AWESOME!! When we started looking for wedding photographers, we interviewed several before we came across Marvin's portfolio. After reviewing his portfolio we were excited to meet him and set up an appointment to see if his personality meshed with ours. We are extremely easy going and fun loving people... we wanted the same in our photograher. After meeting Marv, we decided to reserve his services before the end of our meeting. We loved the fact that he "likes to capture the moments between the moments" and were excited. We added an engagement session to our package and waited for the big day. Our engagement session went beautifully and we were so happy with the results, that we were certain the wedding photos were going to be epic. Sure enough, the images came out BEAUTIFULLY!!! Everyone had so much fun! Marvin and his assistant photographer Jackie captured so many of the unique little moments we were hoping for. We loved Marvelous Images so much that we have decided we will be doing a photo session with Marv every year for our anniversary. I will be doing my new headshots with him as well and this looks like the beginning of a wonderful relationship with an amazing photography company! Make sure you reserve your dates as early as possible... Marvin is booked pretty quickly because he is such a pleasure to work with. THANK YOU Marvelous Images!!!

Dave is very enthusiastic about his craft. His attention to detail and creative style are unmatched. I have never had such a fun experience with a photographer before and been so pleased with the final work. I even had access to the final product within 48 hours, which is great! Most photographers will take weeks to get your pictures to you, so this was a pleasant surprise. I even recommended my brother to Dave for his upcoming wedding photos.

Anne Stephenson Photo & Narrative - A highly skilled photographer and an overall awesome human being! This was the 2nd marriage for both me and my now-husband. We knew we wanted to have a photographer, but honestly, we didn’t want to spend an exorbitant amount of money. On the advice of a friend who was a photographer but was unavailable to photograph our wedding, we found Anne through Thumbtack. Our initial communication with Anne was a short phone call to determine her availability (which she was), the overall size and timing of the wedding, what we were hoping for, and scheduling a time so she could see the venue (our back deck overlooking a lake) and the reception area (a nearby restaurant). Our initial meeting with Anne was very productive. She asked all the right questions, and even some that we didn’t consider. Her thoroughness, professionalism and knowledge of her art (photography is an art), was evident in our meeting. We showed her where we would have the ceremony, and we walked around to where we could take photos after the wedding (the lake behind our house). Then we drove to the restaurant where we would have the reception, and Anne sat with us and the General Manager of the restaurant to get a full idea of how the reception would flow. Anne took notes throughout this entire meeting. It wasn’t required, but we offered Anne an opportunity to join our casual rehearsal the evening before the wedding, and she happily joined us. She took pictures during the rehearsal to test out her equipment, and to make sure she would be prepared for the framing of certain aspects of the ceremony. As the bride, I wasn’t attached to having photographs of getting prepared, or having pictures of my dress or shoes, etc. But Anne not only offered up those options, she took it upon herself to get to the wedding early and take pictures of all the preparations, anyway. I am SO GLAD she did! When the day came, Anne was able to capture the ENTIRE day, from before the ceremony, through to the end at our reception. The pictures are AH-MAZING! The area where we had our ceremony had very challenging lighting because it was outside, but the roof on our deck was tinted, and the sun was spotty in many places depending on where you stood. Nonetheless, in every shot we received in our gallery, Anne managed to find the sweet spot in all the shots— clear images, beautiful color, wonderful translations to black & white. It was a small wedding, 27 people total including Anne, plus me and my groom. She coached, cajoled, and encouraged everyone in the group shots to show their true personalities. As for the photos of me and my groom… WOW! The background of the lake and puffy clouds was spectacular, and the timing (early evening) was spot on. Anne captured it all— magical, spontaneous, heartfelt, funny, and just perfect! The same could be said of the reception— from our guests, to the toasts, to our connection with the restaurant staff, to the live music, the food and our two cakes. The whole day was absolutely and perfectly recorded with Anne’s pictures! Even after the event was over and we waited for her to cull through the hundreds of pictures she took, Anne asked us if we wanted to see some pictures in advance. We wanted to be surprised, but I was also dying to see something, so she sent us one picture. That one picture floored me, and I knew we were in for a treat. In addition to the hundreds of photos included in our final gallery, Anne created a short video (less than two minutes) highlighting a handful of shots that, if one sees it, can get the gist of our day. It was such a bonus since I didn’t recall that was part of our agreement. As a person, Anne is warm and friendly, genuine and thoughtful, creative and considerate. She is extremely easy to work with and talk to. Her communication skills and our interactions were superb— from answering emails and texts in a timely manner, to being punctual with scheduled phone calls and in-person appointments. If you read through this entire review, you MUST contact Anne yourself and see what she has to offer you. If you are prepared; have a vision of what you want for your day; can voice your ideas, concerns, and questions; then Anne can meet you where you are and deliver a spectacular record of photographs that you, your family and your friends can treasure for a lifetime!

We found Carl's website and were struck by his ability to capture emotion and sentiment in his photography. This was evident in both his photojournalistic work as well as his (photojournalistic style) wedding photography. When we emailed Carl and several other photographers, Carl's prices were competitive with other photographers in the area, but slightly higher than some of the less experienced ones. Wanting to keep our wedding to a modest budget, it took some convincing from my better half to agree to spend the money on Carl. I could not be happier with our decision to hire Carl as our wedding photographer, and recommend him unequivocally to anyone looking for a photojournalistic-style wedding photographer. Make no mistake, Carl is a professional, and he takes his work seriously -- and in turn he took our wedding seriously. Yet he complements this professionalism with an engaging personality and dry humor that made us enjoy all of our interactions with him. Prior to hiring him to shoot our wedding in Longmont, CO, we met with him (over Skype since we live in Seattle) to talk about how the ceremony and reception would work, and what we wanted from a photographer. He made it clear that he had a particular photographic style, where he would try to stay "out of the way" as much as possible. While he was willing to take a limited number of staged photographs, his goal was to spend the vast majority of time taking candid photographs of people's experiences during the wedding -- this was exactly what we wanted. He offered us some optional yet helpful advice for things we could do during the ceremony and reception that would improve both the photos and guests' experiences at the wedding. He also asked us about people he should focus on, had us send him a seating chart so he could know where people were, etc. I think in one of our pre-wedding meetings, Carl said something along the lines of, "At your wedding, if you don't notice that I'm there, then I've done my job." Aside from the few formal family/bridal party/newlywed photos Carl organized immediately following the ceremony, on the rare occasion I did notice Carl he was slinking around in the background of the action (dancing, people talking, cake cutting, etc.) staying out of the way somewhere. To be honest, I wondered how he could have gotten good photographs. The photographs turned out amazing. When our pictures arrived a couple weeks after our wedding, and we were blown away at how he managed to capture both obvious and subtle important moments at our wedding. With all the events of the day flying by so quickly, some moments I had already forgotten that I had -- laughing with my groomsmen, waiting to start the ceremony with my mother, father, and sister -- came to life through his work. And many parts of the wedding I couldn't see on the big day -- my future wife getting ready, my aunts and uncles joking around -- I got to experience through his work. Three years after our wedding, we still get comments from friends and family about how much they like our photos. There are a number of photos in the album that, each time I see them, I still find myself saying "wow, that really captures *us*", referring to how it reveals the personalities of my wife and I, as well as how we feel about one another. I couldn't ask for anything more from our wedding photos.
