- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Due to the fact that I do a lot of philanthropy work, I figure my fee on a sliding scale. Taking into consideration the clients budget as well as my own and try to reach an appropriate figure. However I do have a general base hourly rate of $125/hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After reviewing a client request, I like to first inform them of what the quoted fee includes as far as equipment, travel, music and any extras such as fog machines or lighting. From there I like to meet with the client face to face and discuss their needs, musical preferences etc. I will also bring media for their review.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always had an ear for music. Whenstarted going to nightclubs and hearing the magic the DJs were making, I knew someday I would be the one in the booth making people dance.
