FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a phone call or even facetime to discuss the work and set clear expectations for the finished product. Photos are very helpful so I know what tools are needed to complete the work, and if I might need to pick up additional parts on the way. We'll agree on a price for the work before I arrive. Once work is completed I'll invite the customer to inspect to make sure it's completed to their satisfaction. If they're satisfied, we'll handle payment before I depart.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My favorite toy set when I was a kid was my toolbelt and tools. I'd use them to "help" my dad with whatever project he happened to be working on. He taught me as I got older, and before I knew it friends were inviting me over to install a ceiling fan, unclog a toilet or hang a TV.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I modified a client's hinged closet doors to fit their vision of barn door style sliding doors. 2 years later, they are still level and slide smoothly.
