FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My general hourly rate for both filming and editing is $50 an hour. However, my discounted rate is $35 an hour, which I offer to those who face limited budgets. I'm very mindful that people's funds are limited, and I'm always willing to negotiate a 'set-budget' price. That's where we come up with a price ceiling that's affordable to the client, and won't be exceeded, regardless of how many hours I actually work. It matters to me that I'm creating videos and films that my clients are happy with and love. I care deeply about the quality of the work I do, regardless of the budget, and will strive to best movies possible!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm constantly learning new video editing and motion graphic programs, practicing new photography techniques, and reading anything and everything related to the art of filmmaking, particularly those dealing with directing. I'm also continually seeking out new people/mentors from whom I can glean more understanding, wisdom, and opportunities for collaboration. You cannot stop learning (in this profession or in any other)n if you want to continue to work.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I've been working on editing a module series with the non-profit, iEmpathize, for high school curriculum that raises awareness on the issue of human trafficking in Denver, CO. It's a terrific and important subject, one I'm very proud to be a part of producing.
