About this pro
My philosophy is centered first and foremost on Meeting Clients' needs and developing a product and process which is most conducive to the conditions and context of the project. I work closely with other members of the construction industry including engineers, builders, surveyors, local-authority planners and building control officers for all my projects. Much of my time is also spent visiting construction sites, assessing the feasibility of a project, inspecting building work and managing the construction process. I enjoy the profession and it reflects in every design and detail. I look beyond your immediate requirements to design flexible buildings that will adapt with the changing needs of your home or business. My expertise extends to designing houses, conserving and remodeling old and historic buildings, understanding the impact of a development on a local community, and can advise on the use and maintenance of an existing building.

Q & A
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I will provide a lump sum fee depending on the type of project but it is difficult to determine without seeing the project first hand. I generally try to charge $75 per hour for all projects and will estimate a fee based on how long i think it will take me to complete the design and produce Construction Drawings for permitting.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to meet clients at their home or close to where the project will be built. If it is a new home, then my office will work, plus I have recently added onto my own home so it is a good example of what my wife and I went through first hand.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Masters Degree in Architecture and I have been licensed since 1992. I am a member of N.C.A.R.B., (National Council of Architecture Registration Board). I have worked in Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Nebraska and Colorado. I also have a license to practice in Wisconsin, Michigan, South Carolina, and most recently, in New Jersey.
