About

I’ve taken guitar lessons with Gene for over 5 years. My guitar experience prior to meeting Gene was very limited. So limited that I didn’t own a guitar pic nor how to properly hold/use one. I never felt that I needed guitar lessons as I had taught myself many other hobbies in the past. “Practice makes perfect” was a motivational phrase I often told myself. It wasn’t till I failed a musical audition that I realized my practicing wasn’t producing the results I had wanted/expected. I started working with Gene and immediately identified that a majority of my current abilities were based upon improper techniques. I didn’t fully appreciate or understand proper technique as its affects were not always apparent in my playing. As my lessons progressed and technique improved, I realized that my motivational slogan wasn’t complete. I now say; “proper practice makes perfect”. Working with Gene got me back on track with learning to play guitar. I have confidence when practicing knowing that the time I’m investing is not being wasted on bad habits. Fast forward a few years; I now look forward to practicing nightly and regularly play with multiple churches within the Denver Metro area. I would not be where I am musically today without Gene’s guidance and inspiration. He’s a great mentor and continues to challenge me to be a better musician. Looking back, if I could change anything about my experience with Gene, it would be starting lessons with him sooner.

About

My teaching philosophy consists of an individual approach with each student. Each singer has different vocal problems, and those needs are directly addressed. This studio gives private instruction for singing with, above all else, the principles of a healthy voice and sound. Private lessons are on a one-on-one basis for ages high school age, college-age and adults students within an hour, 45-minute or half-hour lesson, with half of the time for vocal technique instruction and repertoire selection for the other half. Musical coaching is available at no additional cost, and is woven into the lesson. Teenaged students need to be at least 14 years old. One-on-one lessons 14+ strickly observed~ Half-hour lessons are recommended for beginners. Beginner students work mainly for half an hour. For medium and advanced students, 45" lessons or 1 Hour lessons are recommended - 30" technique/30" repertoire. Upfront monthly payment of four lessons with at least 24-hour notice prior to lesson cancellation to reschedule the lesson (switch/swap) is our company policy. Weekly lessons are recommended in order to establish a good foundation. Voice students basically need to READ MUSIC. SPECIALITIES: Performance-oriented students. Singers who are at least 14+, college-age level and adult singers who are committed to taking weekly private lessons. My specialties are classical techniques within musical theatre, art song, opera and commercial styles for singers who are performance oriented. Beginning to advanced levels~ WINTER 2016 - REGISTRATION STARTS NOW for 2016! Sessions begin January 3rd for the Winter 2016 and beyond - We have limited space! Please request a specific day: Sunday-Wednesday & Time: 12pm-3pm (afternoon), 3pm-6pm (late afternoons), After 6pm (evenings) in your message requests~ NOT INCLUDED: Virtual Voice lessons via Skype or Internet. Music Therapy ("Vocal rehabilitation-type situations" need to find a music therapist). Voice classes for any age. Teens who are 13 years old - Please contact me, a month or two before they reach 14 years old~ There are sound scientific reasons that I would be happy to explain, "why" young singers need to be at both a certain mental and physical level to study intensively in a "one-on-one" lesson. LOCATIONS: Voice lessons are offered at TWO locations; Private studios are located at public venues in Fort Collins, Colorado and the Arvada Center of Arts & Humanities in Arvada. #1 FORT COLLINS 900 E. Prospect Road 80524 (LifePointe Bldg./Prospect & Lemay) MONDAY: 1:00pm - 6:00pm TUESDAY 1:00pm - 6:00pm WEDNESDAY 1:00pm - 8:00pm NO THURSDAYS@ this location Arvada Center - Metro Denver FRIDAY: CLOSED SATURDAY: CLOSED SUNDAY: 1:00pm - 6:00pm #2 ARVADA -DENVER AREA Arvada Center of the Arts & Humanities location: 6901 Wadsworth Blvd., Arvada, CO 80003 Studio 16 Private voice lessons - weekly commitment required THURSDAYS ONLY: 4:00pm-9:00pm Contact: Web site or e-mail address. About

My 12-year-old has taken piano lessons through Gould and Fall Piano studio for the last two years. Mr. Gould and Mrs. Fall handle their studio with professionalism. They are warm and friendly with the children and are attentive to each individual student's needs. They use a variety of teaching methods. The recitals at the Union Colony Civic Center provide a professional atmosphere in a beautiful theater. In the many years that my children have taken piano lessons, we have never worked with a better studio. My highest recommendation. You won't be disappointed.

About

Teresa was my daughter's piano teacher here in Chicago from kindergarten to 8th grade. From time to time, aside from piano lessons she helped my daughter with her clarinet for her school band. Teresa was an excellent teacher & a wonderful person. She inspired my kids with her works. I highly recommend her for everyone that needs a music lesson.

About

I teach private piano lessons at Altitunes in Denver and Hourglass Music School in Fort Collins. My students range in age from young children, to older adults. I love being a pianist/piano teacher and feel very fortunate to be able to share the challenges and joys of music with my students. I value a high standard of musical quality, well rounded musicianship, and the character and personal growth music can facilitate. My background is classical, but I am open and comfortable with a variety of genres and styles. I feel it's important that the student enjoys and is passionate about the music he or she is learning. I have a piano performance degree and more than 7 years of teaching experience. I am also nearly finished with my master's degree in music therapy.

Emily was my piano teacher for one semester during my sophomore year in college. She was able to answer any music theory questions I had, gave me warm ups to work on my form and general piano knowledge and gave me fun assignments to work on week to week so that I was more excited to practice piano. My only problem with the experience was that it was so short lived.

About

Marco is giving guitar and piano lessons to my two children. He hit it off with them great, got them excited about their instruments and was right on target with their level and needs. He not only has great music skills but great people skills. I knew my son would not work well with a strict/stodgy program and Marco is the perfect fit to get him excited. He has been practicing every day on his own!

About

I have a Bachelor of Music degree and have played trumpet for 21 years. I was looking to improve my jazz and funk chops. Everybody in town pointed to this guy. What turned me on to Jon was that he wasn't one of these stuffy old bebop or swing cats. He absolutely kills on those styles (you should hear him shred Caravan), but he's more familiar with more current, relevant, and grooving styles of music. In our lessons, we didn't work on cookie-cutter licks and patterns, but more practical things like playing rhythmically and melodically and playing over a groove. We would also study jazz standards and play over changes (be ready to play some Thelonius). Sometimes we just listened to music for the sake of knowing what good music sounds like and how it makes one feel. If you want academia, he's loaded, but he's much more concerned with helping you to become a creative and effective musician, and even a more thoughtful human being. As a fellow music educator and trumpet player, I would also recommend Jon as a teacher for Trumpet players who preparing for All-State and college auditions. I'm good friends with some of his other students who have gone on to be successful at CSU and UNC. -Jesse Mathews

About

I offer piano lessons for all levels from ages 4 to adults. I believe that learning music is like learning a second language and is best learned when young, so I specialize in preschool instruction. I also think piano lessons should be fun so that kids will stick with it longer, so I incorporate games and other fun activities into the lessons, and have students play a variety of styles. Students work in the technology lab to strengthen skills such as sight reading and ear training. I also have a master's degree in music therapy and work with children with disabilities.
