- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do half hour and hourly lessons. Individual lesson prices are reduced if a package is purchased. Once you have purchased a package, the lessons become yours to schedule whenever you would prefer. They never expire. 30 minute lesson - $50 60 minute lesson - $60 Bundle of 5 (30min) - $240 (~5% off individual price) Bundle of 5 (60min) - $270 (10% off individual price) Bundle of 11 (30min) - $470 (~15% off individual price) Bundle of 11 (60min) - $530 (~20% off individual price)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will usually gauge where a student is at with their playing by having them play something they're familiar with. For an absolute beginner, the first objective is to play a simple drum beat. Then from there we start working on independence and putting together a drumming vocabulary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started pursuing music at an early age. I played trumpet and piano when I was still in elementary school. By middle school, I was already gravitating towards the drums when I joined the jazz band on trumpet. One day, the drummers didn't show up and I volunteered to fill in. That was the moment I knew I would be a drummer. After high school I went on to study music at the University of Northern Colorado. I was fortunate to have the chance to study with the great Jim White for four years. I now hold a BM in Jazz Studies. Besides schooling, I have been working professionally in bands and with other freelance gigs since early high school.
