FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Handyman jobs vary by a wide spectrum. Many trades will bid by the job, a measurable metric perhaps SqFt, linear foot, or surface area. While smaller jobs will warrant a simple hourly rate. My hourly rate is $85 (with a 2hr min). Painting jobs are completely different, measured by the SqFt of surface area to be painted. Lawn & Landscaping are significantly different as far pricing. I encourage searching the competition and doing your due-diligence. I encourage you to reference it for all trade jobs. I give a 10% discount to Veterans & Seniors. We have a saying in the trade industry, of which I'm sure you're familiar, "You get what you pay for." However, my favorite, "Skilled labor isn't cheap AND cheap labor isn't skilled!" - Jeff
