This was my first time getting a personal trainer and I must say I was satisfied with who I hired. I learned a lot form Jerome. I liked that he was knowledgeable about the exercises he instructed with me. Any questions I had about anything about my sessions, certain exercise or anything else, he responded with elaborated detail and was clear for me to understand. I enjoyed every session I had with him. It was fun and exciting. I was always excited to wake up sore the next day and I would tell him about it. Waking up sore means progress and that I had an effective workout. I hired Jerome for 90 days, 2 days a week and got close to my workout goals than if I would of done it alone. If I would of kept on, I would of got to my goals. With the amount of time and days spent with Jerome training me, I'm just glad that he at least helped me get halfway where I wanted to be. I took home a lot of exercises that I learned from him and incorporate them into my workouts. I now have more knowledge of weight training, how to effectivly workout my abs, how to and when to stretch the right way, and learned about high intensity cardio. Overall, I got my money worth, I got results, got educated, and most of all had fun. I would highly recommend Jerome. I plan on hiring him again for a another round!
I have been training with Julia since August 17, 2015. In the 4 months since I started, I have been able to attend an average of 8-10 high intensity interval training (HIIT) sessions each month. My back ground in distance running, Cross-fit, and teaching physical education only slightly prepared me for the type of exercise Julia employs. I leave every session feeling well worked and more exhausted than I would after a 10k training run which takes about the same amount of time. Everything is scale-able and built to suit each individual regardless of age, gender, strength, or injury status. Julia will find a way to make sure you leave better than when you arrived. I play recreational softball, flag football, and soccer. In my short time with Julia, I have experienced greater success in all sports which can be attributed to gains in speed, agility, and strength. HIIT helps improve any sort of physical movement you may perform regularly and I can attest that it has improved my game in a very short amount of time. As an added bonus, I've lost over 45 pounds as a result of my work with Julia. For those of you with New Year's in mind, this would be a great place to start working toward your goals. Josh Spencer is very charismatic about his work. Josh cares deeply about each and every client, and takes the time to construct individual plan to meet their needs and goals. Josh is constantly expanding his knowledge. Josh will always push you to be better, faster stronger than you were yesterday. He will always be conscientious in his pushing, and very aware and will check in with you frequently to make sure that he pushes you enough to make gains, but not incur injury. Josh also helps clients build healthy habits, one step at a time. Josh will help you overhaul your habits starting small and building on each step. I trained with Mark for a period of 10 weeks at my apartment gym in downtown Denver in summer 2014. He was a fantastic personal trainer, better than any of the several trainers I'd worked with previously. Mark's approach is very well rounded - not only did he train me in the gym, but he also continuously offered personalized nutrition advice by studying my food diary. He came prepared to each workout with a list of exercises for the day, and he always emailed them to me afterward so that I could keep track and do them on my own later on. In addition, he noted down the weights/number of reps I performed for each exercise so he could take a more quantitative approach to increasing the intensity of my workouts over time. On that note, he started me off with a fitness test and then took my measurements at regular intervals over the 10 weeks so we could chart my progress. Mark was super friendly and pleasant, easy to talk to, happy to address the wide variety of random health/nutrition questions that popped into my head, and made himself available via email or phone any time for follow-up questions. Even after I moved away from Denver I continue to email him various questions about my workout routines and he gets back to me promptly and enthusiastically. Mark really does care about my overall health and fitness and was a great partner and motivator for me during my time in Denver. I wholeheartedly recommend Mark to anyone looking for a great personal trainer in the Denver area!
I participated in work out sessions and group forums with Michelle before having my baby and found that they prepped me for labor really well. I got my questions answered and learned some exercises I could be doing to get ready for baby. Since having my baby, Michelle has been doing personal training sessions with me to regain the strength and firmness (smile) back into my body. The sessions are enjoyable and catered to my specific needs and goals. She's just such a sweet gal.

I had the opportunity to work out with Adam Poehlmann of Poehlmann Fitness all summer. I have been an athlete all my life and have gone through countless high intensity training programs with various different strength coaches. However, I have never been pushed harder day in and day out than while being trained by Adam. He pushed me everyday in order for me to become the best version of myself. On top of being pushed, it was clear that he has a vast knowledge of the fitness world and can adjust workouts for you own personal goals to be achieved. Scott is an excellent trainer! I have been training with him for the past nine months and I am definitely much stronger, with more defined muscle tone, than I was when I started. I had never participated in a barbell weight training program prior to trying out Scott Beall Fit. I had always found the weight section of gyms to be a bit intimidating. Yet, entering Scott’s training studio, I felt empowered rather than intimidated. Scott’s program is highly structured and designed to build full-body strength logically and efficiently (which it definitely does!). However, what I find to be most impressive is Scott’s way in which he works with his clients (I’ve observed his training with others as well). Scott is such a genuine, caring and thoughtful person who seeks not only to increase your physical strength, but your mental and emotional strength as well. Through his regular “check-ins” and informal conversation, he works to connect on a deeper level to help his clients remove any potential barriers that may be keeping them from reaching their full potential physically. I have so appreciated Scott’s dedication to my physical journey and will continue to enjoy my intense and rewarding sessions with him.
Justin is extremely personable, knowledgeable and caring. I did group training classes with him, as well as some one on one training sessions and I felt like in either environment, he was always focused on teaching and empowering me. He made fitness into an achievable goal and helped me to obtain great fitness results. He gave me a sense of confidence in the gym that I never had before. I went to Chris with a specific set of goals that needed to be achieved in a few months: lose belly fat, lean out and gain muscle and strength at the same time. I am happy to report that all my goals were achieved with his focus on training and nutrition. I really enjoyed the discipline and the camaraderie we had in the gym. He showed me proper form for every exercise and introduce new routines for me. I was able to drop 9 lbs and gain muscle at the same time. Since our training, I’ve been able to increase my intensity and strength at the gym. I even switched to working out in the mornings before work. I recommend training with Chris because he produces results. I would recommend everyone from beginner to experienced lifters to train with him. People should know that training with Chris is intense, fun and will change your body for the better!!
Brian is nothing short of a miracle worker! I’m relatively young and in not-entirely-terrible shape, but I am significantly overweight and have some very perturbing medical problems that have always complicated my exercise goals. Fearing the stereotypical “meathead” trainer experience that so many suffer, I had some significant concerns going into my first session with Brian. Would he try to make me do burpees? Would he bark orders at me? WOULD I THROW UP? I am so pleased to report that NONE of those fears were even remotely valid. Brian definitely pushed me, but never beyond safety or ability level. He strikes the perfect balance between challenging you and being extremely encouraging and supportive. He seemed to have a sixth sense to know exactly what I needed to hear to keep going and believe in myself, to push for that extra couple of reps or minutes of cardio. He does not let you make excuses or slack off, but he is also compassionate, understanding, and very educated on intense but safe activity. Additionally, he is very educated on the equally important matters of diet and lifestyle changes. Exercise is not the only part! Brian showed me that despite my weight and health challenges (which will improve with practicing what he’s taught me), I have a great capability for athletic activity. This is the first time I’ve ever felt that way about myself. It’s done wonders for my self-esteem! Also, he has done something no one else ever could – HE GOT ME ON AN ELLIPTICAL! I have long since held cardio machines as my sworn enemy, nary should my feet ever cross foot pedals or a treadmill belt. But you know what? I LOVE the elliptical now! Treadmills can still bite me…at least for now 😉 Brian also helped me by making excellent orthotic and footwear recommendations for my specific needs and challenges. Again, he is impressively knowledgeable! Brian taught me that I can do SO much more than I ever thought I could! He struck the perfect balance between toughness and kindness. I would and have recommended Brian to friends and coworkers in the Longmont area. If he can help me, he can help anyone! Brian has given me hope and confidence, two things I’ve found nearly impossible to realize in the past! Thank you, Brian!
