My partner and I were in crisis mode and needed help. I contacted a list of therapists. Laura was the only one who actually called me. From my 15 minute phone consultation with her I could tell she was it. She related to me in such a natural, real life way and responded with the appropriate level of urgency. She is a gifted therapist who has done incredible work with myself and my partner. I could not have found a more perfect fit.
I have personally been through many treatments and have had many therapists and mental health work for the past 3 1/2 years. The experience and information I got from my therapist at the step program was amazing. I was at a point where I was ready to engage and work in the work but how Maurico listened and also tried to explain things in a way I'd understand. It was nice to focus on the present and tools to help reach my goal and accept my past and live with it instead of focusing on things I had focused on in other programs or with other professionals. I feel like the only thing that would be been more helpful was if the program was twice a week or every other week. So thankful I got to successfully complete IOP and that i got the therapist that walked through it with me
Nice environment. I've never felt any pressure from Allison, we work at my own pace. I've made more progress here than with any other therapist. Whether it be big picture plans or day to day anxieties, Allison always knows how to create a plan of action that works. I have been going here for three years!
I have been a patient of Scott's for almost a year. I started seeing him thinking he would be just like all the other therapists I had seen and that he wouldn't make a difference. He proved me wrong in our first session. He is a very kind man that really listens to what you are saying and has an amazing way of seeing things. He always helps me see things in a different light and has been able to help me through every situation I have come to him with. He has not only helped me get through my own struggles but has also been the reason I have been able to help my daughter get through her struggles. He has taught me how to communicate with her and how to be the mom she needs me to be through her trying situation. He is reliable and absolutely amazing at what he does. I feel very blessed to have met him and so thankful for everything he has done for me. Scott definitely found the right career for himself and I would highly recommend him to anybody that is looking for a therapist!
I've been a client at Thrive Counseling of Colorado for almost 2 years. Jessica helped me through what was the most difficult time of my life. Without giving specifics I went from being at the absolute lowest point in my life to being on top of the world. My career, my home life, my relationships, and most importantly my self-value have never been better. It hasn't been a short or easy road to but one that Jessica navigated me through to become the happiest I've ever been. She is truly an amazing therapist and person! I'd give 10 stars if I could.
I began seeing Indigo a few months ago and she has helped me in more ways than I thought possible. Having tried numerous therapists in the past, I've never made progress and been provided guidance like I've had from Indigo. Very helpful in helping you find the direction that is best for you. I strongly suggest her.
Heidi is the first Counselor/Therapist willing to meet me where I was in my life journey. She is authentic! She listens! She gave me helpful tips on how to handle and cope with certain volatile sitations. Her words to me were real and raw and I NEED this. If you are wondering if you she make the call to see her.....Do it! You will not be disappointed.
Going through a break up, especially one that was a result of a toxic relationship, was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. My ex was everything to me - I was sure that I had found my soulmate when I met him. Slowly, I began to realize that who he said he was and who he actually was were two completely different things. But by the time I had this realization, it was already too late as I was so deeply in love with him that I couldn't get out of it. For reasons too complicated to discuss here, I eventually mustered up the strength to walk away, but I was completely gutted and devastated in the process of doing so. I cried for hours on end and was utterly miserable. I have always been a person who cared a lot about their emotional state and I knew that this was something I just could not do on my own. I am of the strong belief that the most important aspect of an individual's well being is their emotional health and stability. When we go through physical pain, we know that it will eventually heal and we still go see a doctor to help soothe the pain. When we go through emotional pain, we don't see ourselves ever healing at all but we refuse to seek help. The least we can do is try to get some guidance and help along the way from people who are equipped to do just that and this is exactly what Growing Self did for me. I was really lucky to have had (and still have) an amazing therapist to work with. The support and perspective she's provided me with are ever so valuable in my healing process and I don't think I'd be in the same place today if I didn't seek this help. Of course, time heals. But the difference between getting help along the way and going at it alone can translate into a difference of months or years in your healing process. Don't sell yourself short - you have a responsibility to take care of yourself in the best way possible, and getting professional support to do that is the least you can do for yourself.
I have gone to a TON of counseling in my lifetime from a split family when I was a kid, and dealing with brokenness ever since. Nick Simpson is by far the best counselor I've ever seen. My husband and I have gone to couples counseling with Nick for 2 years now. He is gentle with us when we are on fire emotionally. He has helped us with and reminded us to keep it simple, slow and soft. He has recommended countless books to read to help us when we aren't in his office (everyone of them have been hugely helpful). He sends us with resources to practice at home, so we don't feel like we can't do it, except in his office. He engages with us like he personally wants you to succeed. That is an incredible trait to feel when in counseling! I have hated the counselors that have a buzzer that buzzes when time is up, and it always feels like 15 minutes with those types! I hate it! Nick helps take down the feelings of shame that we all feel about some of our pasts, family roots and mistakes. He is such an encourager! I have recommended him to countless friends and neighbors. I feel like everyone needs a Nick! We can't imagine ever going to another counselor now!
Rick is a compassionate, experienced, and competent therapist. He helped me with a transition period in my life that was very painful for me in a skillful and gentle manner. I would recommend him as a therapist. Judi. R
