Introduction: If you have a love for all things guitar, then you've come to the right place! I share that same love and passion for the instrument, and have for over thirty years. I'm confident that I can help you learn to play the guitar, or take your playing to the next level, as I've helped hundreds of students do in my over twenty years of teaching.
I have a physical studio/office at my home in Parker, CO and also do lessons via Zoom for people that are outside of the area. Some of my students have gone on to pursue a collegiate music degree, some have gone on to lead worship at their church, but all of them will enjoy playing guitar for the rest of their lives! I've also had success in the music industry, selling thousands of albums in various bands, from metal, to acoustic music, and touring fairly extensively.
I find it very fulfilling to have had the opportunity to teach so many wonderful people the skill of guitar playing and I hope you are next!

Throughout my time taking lessons from Jason, I've learned not only how to play guitar in the sense of reading sheet music and tablature, but have also learned about the deeper aspects of guitar like how to choose a guitar that's best for you and how to properly care for that guitar. Subjects like music writing, improvising, scales, and even singing exercises are taught with ease and in a way that makes understanding them even easier. Overall, working with South Metro Guitar has proved to be a great experience and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who is serious about taking their guitar skills to the next level.

I have been with Jason for over 4 years now, and he has been absolutely critical in getting me to where I am in music today. Offering his extensive knowledge and experience in music, Jason has helped me take my guitar playing and singing to the next level. He is hands down one of the greatest guitar players I've ever met, but is incredibly humble and patient. My greatest fear in the world was singing in public, and he helped me push past that fear and held me accountable in doing so. He has been far more than just a music instructor to me, he has been a wonderful friend and mentor as well. From coming into the studio and recording bass on my debut EP (and staying and coaching me through the vocals) to playing live with me and coming out to shows to watch, he's been there for me. We've developed a great friendship over the years and I know I can come to him with anything (even if it has nothing to do with music), and he will listen and offer his advice. You don't find that kind of care with everybody. I've had quite a few teachers over the years, and I can say with absolute certainty that Jason is the best. You or your child will not regret taking lessons from him, and the amount of improvement you will see is incredible.
