Hiring someone you've never worked with is difficult. I chose Justin based on Thumbtack reviews. The reviews were encouraging. I'm happy to say the reviewers were correct, and I'm pleased to add my positive review for Justin. I hired Justin to replace a warped baseboard and the soffit on the front of the house. Justin pointed out the subquality of the original work on the projects. In the case of the warped board, the caulking was not silicon. He removed the caulking throughout the bathroom and then used the correct product. For the soffit, he pointed out that the contractors didn't use plywood, much less waterproof plywood. His observations showed his analytical skills. He could have done comparable work as the original contractors, and I wouldn't have known. He showed integrity and professionalism. Justin's work was so good I had him install a TV mount and scheduled an appointment to replace some drywall ceiling. I prefer to work with the same contractor when possible. Justin will be the only contractor working on my house. I hired Justin again. This time it was to replace some water-damaged drywall in the bathroom ceiling. Once he removed the drywall he pointed out two issues that were causing moisture and water to damage the ceiling. First, he pointed out that the vent was not up to code and pushing air into the ceiling and not out of the roof. Second, he noticed that there was old roof sealant around a fan which allowed water into the bathroom ceiling. If this wasn't enough he also noticed that insulation in the living room was pushed to the side so there was no insulation in that room. Josh fixed all the issues and the ceiling drywall. Justin is the contractor you're looking for if you want a thorough professional.
