I have been training with Nate for the last 7 months – this is the first time I’ve worked with a trainer and I was pretty clueless about anything beyond cardio when we started. He has been great; he took time to understand my goals and we worked together to develop a plan. He’s been flexible on scheduling but always reliable (even at 5am). In our training sessions he pushes me, but always carefully, always attentive to form, and with clear explanations of the motions and the exercises, and he takes the time at the conclusion of each session to work on stretching and recovery. Working with Nate has been a great experience for both accountability and for building my own understanding of functional fitness, strength training, and how to make the best use of my time at the gym.

Next week it marks two months since I started my Personal Training. I have the great pleasure of working out with Nate, who is dynamite. I researched other personal trainers in the area and true living fitness is exactly what I was looking for: Nate is knowledgeable and has a philosophy similar to my own. It is an investment, both physically and financially, but who better to invest in than yourself. Nate is a great motivator. I train with him at 5:30 a.m. twice a week and he is always upbeat, he models exercises to ensure maximum results, and pushes me…knowing that I have the extra effort even when I don’t think so. I know he is genuinely concerned about my well-being and is on this journey with me to help me achieve my goals. I am down a couple pounds already, Nate put a great meal plan together for me with different delicious options. I am looking forward to more weight loss which will be huge gains in my get fit journey!

After several months of directing my time and effort to being my husband’s caregiver, I was surprised to realize how much I’d neglected my own fitness; something I’d never had to consider. Even getting out of bed, or a recliner was painful. I had pain/weakness in my arm when I lifted a canister from an overhead shelf. The pain and numbness in my hands and fingers woke me up at night. My life turned around when a friend gave me a gift of a series of training sessions with her physical trainer, Nathan Luce. He brought his expertise to customizing a workout to boost my strength and flexibility. Over the last 15 months that we’ve trained for 30 minutes twice a week, my life became “back on track”. I have far greater strength and flexibility. Nate’s guidance challenges and encourages. I am 86 and now am able to carry out the activities that enhance my life. Nate is, at once, professional and personable. I highly recommend him.

I worked with Nathan for three months and felt his immense support since day one. From the first conversation we had, Nathan put me and my health goals first. He made it a point to get to know me and understand what I wanted to get out of our workouts. During each session I always felt like he completely pushed me but was equally careful to guide me every step of the way. True Living Fitness was my first personal training experience and I can honestly say I couldn’t have chosen a better company and trainer to work with. Nathan was great at showing me every movement and explaining to me what my body would get out of every routine and every session with him. I am so grateful for the progress I made with him. I truly feel stronger, healthier, and encouraged to continue on my fitness journey.

Nate’s a fantastic trainer. Over the past 3 years we’ve met for 30 mins twice a week at 5am. Not once has been late and over that time my fitness and flexibility has improved enormously. He creates a very comfortable and motivating atmosphere for our sessions and seems to know exactly how far he can push me during each session, without ever causing anything worse than some stiff muscles occasionally. I cannot recommend Nate highly enough.
