Introduction: I teach private piano lessons to students of all levels, ages five through adult. I use a variety of musical activities with the younger student to help them feel the music in their bodies and to develop their ear for melody, beat and rhythm. For the adolescent and adult student, we strive to find music that they are passionate about playing. 30 minute piano lessons are $23 and 45 minute lessons are $34. Recitals are not required for my students. I hold piano classes at my home three times a year. One recital is held each year at a local retirement center. These are both optional. Private voice lessons are for students ages 10 and up. We start each lesson with some vocal warmups and then move on to pieces that the student has helped select. Performances are held three times a year at a local nursing home. These are optional. For those who are more comfortable singing with a small group than solo, we sing some group songs as well as solos at the nursing home. 30 minute voice lessons are $25 and 45 minute lessons are $37.
