Introduction: I am a caring person that is more than just a music teacher to my students. I care about their lives and try to help them make good choices in their everyday living. Sometimes students have problems budgeting time to play everyday. I never call it practicing. Practicing sounds too much like work. I like to use playing. Kids are involved in all kinds of activities. Sometimes they need a little help in sandwiching in playing during the day. For some kids, mornings work best. Sometimes, they do it best right after school and for others, after dinner time. I try very hard to make it enjoyable rather than like work. Kids want to have fun and I try to make it fun. I love the "aha" moment that teachers get when a student understands what they are suppose to be doing. It gives me as much pleasure as that student when they can see what I am talking about.
