John did a number of different and varied jobs for me, from fixing a door to installing half a kitchen, and I have asked him back to do even more work. I've done previous renovations and John is by far the best contractor I've hired and here's why: 1) He doesn't waste your time or money. 2) His quotes are reasonable and he is flexible in his attitude, so you can adjust the job as it progresses, within reasonable parameters. That is almost unheard of but so necessary. 3) He not only listens to the client's needs but even pauses at intervals to make sure you're happy with the progress. That NEVER happens with other contractors! 4) He does not make you feel like an idiot for asking questions (in my case, how to flush a new toilet, yep, seriously) or expressing an alternative opinion on design or how to best spend your money. 4) He keeps in touch, calling if delayed or to reschedule. 5) Most important, he does really nice work: good craftsmanship, especially carpentry and Sheetrock, but also flooring, cabinetry, everything. A really good guy who you can actually trust with your home and money. Highly recommended.
