Introduction: I am an educated professional who has chosen to start my own pet service business. I have a teaching certificate and taught for 12 years. I hold a masters in Environmental Science and worked with Audubon for a number of years. I have a lifetime of experience owning, breeding and caring for all kinds of animals. I am also the mother of three beautiful children and a great husband. We own a beautiful percheron/ thoroughbred horse and breed Engish Labradors. We also have Geckos and a rescue kitter cat we love. As a dog and pet sitter I enjoy being with the dogs, because they are always happy and ready to go! I wake in the morning, get them outside, feed, and walked, it is always a good morning and a great way to meet the day.

Cynthia is very caring and responsible when it comes to caring for my dog. I never worried when she was looking after my dog and she followed all the instructions I left with her. She is also very knowledgable about animals so if something were to happen I would have complete confidence that she would deal with it in the appropriate manner. We always ask Cynthia to look after our dog and have no reservations recommending her.

Cynthia is the BEST! She works and plays with our dogs for the time that she comes to our home during the day. When we need to leave the home for a vacation or for a long weekend she always does what we need to accomodate us. I would trust her with anything. Cynthia Riegle ROCKS.

Cynthia provides a safe and happy home for our dog whenever we're out of town. There's lots of love and Cynthia takes the time to understand our dog's needs and accommodate them. She even sends updates, like "molly has settled in very nicely, she stays with my husband in the office and rests by his chair. she hangs out with belle in front of the fire and comes over for scratches."

What a find! I can not say enough wonderful things about Riegle Animal Care. Upon moving to Madison, CT I was worried that I would not find a sitter for my Havanese who was cared for by the same person all her life. Now, my worries are over! It was obvious from the start that it is not just a job for Cynthia, she genuinely cares for our dog and has taken the time to get to know her and our family. Cynthia's experience and knowledge of pets is outstanding. Her insight is amazing. My Havanese actually cries when we approach Cynthia's home. She can not get to the door fast enough. She especially loves her play dates and extended stays. I highly recommend.

What types of customers have you worked with?
Dog sitting in the afternoon while parents are at work and full weeks at the Riegle's while owners are vacationing are typical dog sitting jobs. We have folks who travel for months at a time and those are jobs that come each summer...we have often heard that the dog returns to the owner better than when it came...it is a great compliment.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Tell me everything about your dog! Does your dog eat things like a Hoover vacuum?, do they run off?, do they like to sleep under a blanket?, love the beach?...I need to know not only to keep them safe but happy! Often I don't have a long time with them to get to know them as you do so tell me everything on the information sheet I give you. We are near the beach and can go for long romps...it is a great way to spend the morning, don't you think?
