Installed our kitchen cabinets, helped with all assembly and install of our kitchen. Chirs is a problem solver, doesn't need to be managed, sees what needs to be done and does it. He's ALWAYS on time, usually early, is a hard worker and works a full day. Couldn't have asked for a better handyman. So lucky we found him on this site.
Classic Refinishers beautifully restored two very damaged old wood tables of ours. Brennen Zaborowski was great to work with. He clearly (and patiently) explained our options and gave solid advice about what stains and finishes would look good. He provided honest and reasonable price quotes which we competitive with. a local refinishing shop. Pick up and delivery from our midtown Manhattan apartment was free. He kept us informed on the progress of the work. He also has kept in touch to make sure that we were happy with the work and has stopped by to adjust a wheel on the table at no extra charge. I cannot recommend Classic Refinishers more highly.
My husband and I couldn't be happier with our new kitchen. Maria was exceptionally professional and did an amazing job. The thought of throwing out cabinets that were in fine shape but just not our style seemed so wasteful. We are so happy we found Maria and saved a ton of money but still achieved our dream look in the kitchen!! Do it. You won't regret it!!
I hired Ed Wallace to build and install a custom cabinet to fit a tricky space in my master bathroom. Ed first looked at the space and gave me some options as to what would work. Ed is a terrific communicator and a problem solver. He explained the options in detail, with careful consideration of the space, budget, and materials. He built and installed a beautiful cabinet in my master bathroom that maximized the available space and matched it to the already existing cabinets. Ed's work is precise, neat, and very clean. He takes all the necessary precautions to make sure all things go well. He is always thinking two steps ahead. While Ed was completing the custom cabinet, it came up that he also does tile work. I was looking for someone to take on two back splashes, one in my kitchen, and a second in the master bathroom. Each backsplash had some unique features and I wanted to use a glass tile in the kitchen and a marble tile in the bathroom. Ed was easily adaptable to each job, type of tile, and the unique space. Ed is a consummate professional, he is a terrific communicator, does great work, and comes through on everything he says.
Jim was great to work with. My great aunt's Victorian bedroom set was water damaged due to a plumbing leak. It needed a lot of work from repair to refinishing. Jim took great care doing the work. He gave a clear time and money estimate and kept me informed every step of the way,
In the fall of 2014 we purchased a house that was built in the mid 50's. There had been no update whatsoever done to this house. Everything was original. We hired Altieri Construction to help us with updating this dinosaur and couldn't be happier with his work. He began by changing out every window in the house from the old, worn, wooden windows to new energy efficient vinyl windows. Lots of savings there in heating costs and noise reduction! He was professional, reliable and neat. We were completely satisfied with the installation. Next we had to update our kitchen. It consisted of metal cabinets that were so old they were rusted through, and old porcelain sink and a stand-alone old old stove. Frank helped us to select our new cabinets, countertops and a configuration that would work in a rather small space. (I've included a before and after picture of the kitchen.) The results were fabulous. We couldn't be happier with the work he's done for us and would most definitely use him again on our next project and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
In December of 2011, I purchased a dim, run-down townhouse suffering from a bad case of shag carpeting, band-aid carpentry and nearly 30 years of neglect. To call it a "fixer-upper" would be an understatement--rather I had to completely gut it and start over from scratch. I hired Tom Mucherino to take care of the remodeling and bring it back to life, and I couldnt be happier with the work. Tom is very easy to work with--he shows up when he says he will, stays in good communication, and was always very helpful and informative when it came to making decisions. Among other things, he handled all the demolition, completely re-did my kitchen and bathroom, replaced all of the damaged drywall in the house, sanded and refinished the upstairs floors, and installed new floors on the other two levels. Tom is a perfectionist, taking the time to make sure everything was done right, and his committment to his work shows; everything he did met or exceeded my expectations. He even put in a custom spice rack, and built me a new set of stairs to my upstairs loft! Today, my house is absolutely gorgeous--I get compliments from everyone who visits about how light, bright, and airy and modern it is. I would recommend him without reservation to anyone needing a good contractor.
I recently had some kitchen cabinets fixed by Johnny. I was very pleased. I also had the interior of my house painted. The living room, family room, hallway, bedroom and bathroom doors painted. His quality of work is excellent. He is professional and knows how to do a complete job at a good price. I highly recommend him.
My 20 old kitchen cabinets looks as brand new, thanks for amazing job Stanley R Ridgefield .CT
It was so important to find a woodworker who could execute my project designs exactly as specified for our client. Ed got quotes out, returned phone calls, sent shop drawings and finished the work well within our time frame. We were so pleased to find a professional of his quality.
William did exactly what I asked for. Turned my old outdated cabinets into new. Love it.
I began working as a carpenter in 1976, doing construction and carpentry. Over the years, I honed my skills as a finished carpenter to become one of the top artisans in the Connecticut area. Though my skills allow me to do anything in construction, my favorite areas to work in are building custom cabinets, carpentry designs and trim work. I also only use furniture-grade materials on all of my cabinets. Please feel free to browse the photos above, and contact me if you have any questions. My customers favorite tag line for me is: " The cleanest contractor around with 30 years of exceptional experience." My work includes all phases of construction, with expertise in cabinet making, trim work, stairways, ballisters and window/door installations, but my skills do not end there as I can do tiling, painting, foundations, decks, fences, railing, flooring and so much more. Please check out my website for examples of some of my work.

I have been doing this most of my life. Just because you own the tools does not make you a craftsman. Constantly honing your craft and looking for new ways to improve quality and taking pride in your work makes you a craftsman. I guarantee most of what I do for life. That means it must be done and done right the first time.
It is very unique and I also specialize in finishing and custom stains.
