Mark was my 11 year old son's drum instructor for the past 2 years. The only reason he is not any longer is because he moved out of state. Mark worked very well with my son and was able to make learning fun while keeping the lesson structured so my son could also learn the various drumming techniques needed to be a successful drummer. My son learned to write and read drum music, improvise, and play by ear. Mark is also very personable and developed a very strong teacher/student relationship with my son, who was very sad to see him go. I highly recommend Mark as an instructor for anyone.

Mark has been providing drum lessons to my son for the past several months. I have found Mark to be a caring, diligent and patient instructor. He has the ability to promote the drumming strengths of my son, while working on the drumming challenges in an upbeat and positive way. Studied composition with Steve Grover, professor at University of Maine, 2008-2011. Studied African drumming with Jordan Bennisan, associate of music & master drummer at Colby College, 2011-14.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Childhood aspiration. Life long passion.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Teaching students rudiments, fundamentals of music theory and sight-reading, improvisation and transcription of drum/percussion parts.
