Gardening is a great joy to me, but I've been so busy with work my beloved backyard grew completely out of control. Joel and his team saved the day -- they weeded by hand, shaped overgrown bushes and trimmed trees, hauled all the garden waste away and left my place beautiful. Will definitely call him again!

All around Hall's Landscaping did great work. They cleaned up an overgrown front garden, pulling shrubs our and prepping soil for new planting. They helped select excellent, minimal care plants. The new garden looks excellent. They even removed a rotting dogwood tree in the same day, efficiently and with no visible traces of tree left. We would highly recommend Hall's Landscaping. KMH

Mylan and her team did an amazing job on our landscape. She is a Master Gardner, knows her plants, and was a big help selecting the right plant mix for the different parts of our yard - with careful thought on how to use the plants to pull the different areas together. We absolutely love how she used various sedum and crawling thyme to dress up our natural stone stairway and rock wall. And her crew did a great job edging and mulching all of our beds. We love to garden, but with limited time it was a treat to have her team come in and take this work off of our plate. We look forward to enjoying our gardens all summer!

We hired Elmer's Landscaping to Spring Cleaning, Weeding & Mulching, Seeding and Fertilizing, and overall landscaping maintenance of our Condo Complex for the season. So far, he has done a great job, has been very responsive to our requests, and is very reasonably priced. I would recommend Elmer to anyone looking for great service.

Pond Installation & Garden Bed: "We recently had Denise and Joe of AJM, replace a backyard water feature with a new, expanded pond/waterfall feature. At first we weren't sure we wanted to take on the expense, but Denise and Joe presented us with a stunning design, as usual, one too good to pass up. And then, with a few minor adjustments, they worked with us to make the cost affordable and we gave them the green light to proceed with the project. In less than a week, they transformed a dirt pit into an elaborate backyard paradise. We have worked with them continuously for the past 3 years in transforming the rest of our outdoor space and once again, they brought the same great design sense, dedication to detail, and pride to this project. Whatever they do is a labor of love. They care deeply about making you happy and strive at all times to meet a high standard. Then they follow up regularly, long after the project is complete, to make sure that everything continues to go well. It's been a dedicated, caring partnership. We got very lucky when we found them and remain in very good hands." Mark Stamford, CT

Initially we hired Blessed Forever to do some landscaping and planting. We found that the owner is multi/talented and was able to create a stone front porch, garden walls, move trees, and create beautiful gardens. We are absolutely amazed by his work, and so are our neighbors. They have also hired him for major projects! Have no doubt that he can deliver what he promises.

Jose was the best! Very professional and fair pricing. My garden beds and lawn needed lots of spring cleaning and he completed the job in a few hours what would have taken me a whole weekend. He did a great job and I will call him for any future lawn or garden needs!

About

My mission is to help you to be a better gardener by providing coaching; to make gardens more sustainable by using and promoting proven organic methods; and to increase bio-diversity by encouraging the use of native plants and the creation of plant communities that sustain wildlife. I specialize in perennial gardens. You can hire me to maintain and improve the garden you already have. I'm available for weekly visits (length of visits would depend on the size and condition of the property). As much as possible, I use hand tools: shovel, trowel, rake, broom, hand pruners, etc. Very occasionally I use battery-powered cordless tools. I don't mow and I don't blow in keeping with the concept of tender land care: using my hands to tend your garden without noise and pollution from combustion engines. Maintenance services provided are as follows: - Check for possible problems and make recommendations for necessary treatment - Note plants that need dividing, transplanting, or pruning and perform these activities with homeowner approval - Stake plants as necessary to maintain a tidy appearance, and train climbing plants - Deadhead annuals and perennials to encourage extended or continuous bloom - Recommend perennial and/or annual plants to fill gaps in the garden if any, with an emphasis on native plants, and with homeowner approval, and obtain plants and install - Weed and edge Coaching services are provided. As a coach, I will work alongside you in the garden, demonstrating techniques and answering your gardening questions. I can show you how to have a lush, beautiful garden without spending a lot of money on soil amendments, fertilizer and mulch. You may have much of what you need on your property already, in the form of last year's perennials, annuals, and fallen leaves. With our help, you will become a knowledgeable and more confident gardener. I am an alumna of the UConn Master Gardener program (2009). I am also an artist (oil painter) and have formerly practiced as a registered architect. I have been gardening in Connecticut for 25 years.
