I am being tutored in Spanish from Julissa. My sessions have been educational and fun. Julissa builds the curriculum around the students strengths. Although my tutoring session is 1 hour, she spends her own time at home preparing for my lessons. Julissa is professional and punctual and I am extremely proud to have her as my tutor.

I am a senior at American University and first contacted Bill to help me prep for the math portion of the GRE. I experienced a jump of over 10 points on my math portion after working with Bill! Bill is an awesome tutor. He is flexible and quick to respond to changes in my busy schedule. He is also high energy and makes the process exciting! It was apparent during our first lesson that Bill really has a passion for teaching mathematics.

Nema was a kind and extremely knowledgeable tutor. He helped to break down complex concepts for my college-level trigonometry/pre-calculus courses and was able to make the lessons easier to understand. He also has a unique ability to connect nebulous theories to real-world scenarios, which really helps for someone who is a hands-on learner, like myself. After working with him, I received high marks in the class, and went on to complete a degree in international affairs and global health. I now work in international development finance. More than 4 years later, I still remember his humor, skill, humility, patience and mentorship. I would highly recommend him to anyone at any level looking to develop a better understanding and appreciation for math and statistics.

My son is a junior in high school and we desperately needed a tutor to help him in AP Calculus. Michael has been a huge help with matching us up with a tutor. Michael listens and fully understands the needs of a student and family struggling in a subject. He took the time and effort to select a tutor that best fit our son's needs and personality. He scheduled an initial "get to know you" session with my son so that they could learn more about my son and to understand his current study and classroom habits, etc. The tutor follows up after each session with feedback on what was covered, what needs more attention and how things are going. So far, so good...and I, as a parent, feel like we are in great hands. I appreciate Michael's attentiveness to our situation. I look forward to seeing my son succeed in this class! I highly recommend A+ Club for Student Success.

My son's tutor has worked with him for more than a year transitioning from elementary school to middle school. The tutor showed great flexibility in subject areas and was able to help in virtually any school subject including English, science, math, world studies, and French. My son's improvement and added self confidence has been fantastic!

I would recommend Reetika to anyone looking to improve their GMAT score. I had 6 sessions with Reetika and was able to improve my GMAT score by 90 points. She tailored her lessons specifically to fit my skills and I couldn’t be happier with my results. The skills and the test taking strategies she taught me were invaluable!

My roommate and I contacted Julia to teach us basic Russian for our travels to Ukraine and Moldova this summer. To date, Julia has provided us with proper instruction, lesson plans, and homework. She has become our mentor and very reliable resource as we prepare for our journey. Julia is very professional and can present her material on all levels, which I can attest to since she teaches the two of us at the same time. She is a kind and genuine person who is always upbeat. It is with great privilege to recommend Julia’s services to anyone who is looking to explore or further their understanding of the Russian language.

My 17 year old son is a fairly tough customer when it comes to interacting with academic support, fortunately for us, Will Spach happened to be our first experience with Varsity Tutors. Will definitely has a professional presence about him that earned him credibility with both my wife and I as well as my side early on in our first meeting. He immediately assessed my sons strength and weaknesses and was able to zero in on the tutoring plan that brought my son’s scores up by 200 points in 8-9 weeks. I highly recommend Will Spach for any high school each student looking to improve their college SAT scores. Mike

Mr. Glass connects well with middle school students. He is patient, funny and has many different ways of teaching the math concepts so that the students truly grasp the information. Our child was not motivated in math before Mr. Glass taught her/tutored her, and now she is very enthusiastic about it. We highly recommend him!

I met Lauren while she worked as an elementary school teacher at my children's parochial school in southern California. She is an excellent teacher in the classroom, providing sound instruction on the school's curriculum, as well as positive feedback to her students. My middle daughter struggled in elementary school. After having Lauren as her teacher, I hired her to tutor my daughter's during the years of 5th-7th grade. My daughter struggled in several areas including: math, reading comprehension, study skills and writing. Lauren met with my daughter in our home on a weekly basis. She used the curriculum that the parochial school provided, as well as, she incorporated different learning modalities, which assisted my daughter in the understanding the various concepts. Today, my daughter is a senior at a university back east, majoring in kinesiology and will graduate in May 2016. I believe Lauren gave my daughter the skills and the confidence she needed to be successful in school. Thank you again Lauren!!! T.S Garden Grove, CA

She uses different methods of teaching which helps students learn since they are responsive to the different techniques implemented. I am so happy to get to share how wonderful Krista Price has been for my daughter and her writing! Krista has been teaching my daughter writing and grammar for the past three years. She has a kind, dedicated, and effective way of teaching that has drawn out the best in my daughter. I see her love of writing and teaching and concern for her students, and she is readily available to answer questions and follow up with lessons. My daughter has gained confidence and practical ability in her writing as she has learned the skills that allow her to write all types of papers, plus she loves writing! With Krista's teaching, I know my daughter will be prepared for writing when she gets to high school and college.

Mary worked with my son (a sophomore in high school) for nine weeks, and the change in my son's confidence with writing improved significantly. Starting in first grade he developed a dislike for writing, which over the years turning into almost a phobia. He was so intimidated by the process, that he would rather fail than turn in an essay. As a result, he never really learned HOW to write, and his anxiety increased. Mary worked with him, starting with the basics of how to map out and organize a persuasive essay. What took him hours before, he was able to accomplish in less than half an hour. It was very empowering, and helped him considerably with facing writing tasks. One thing that I didn't expect with a writing tutor was Mary's incorporation of subtle life coaching. She had him examine his motivations and his goals. They even did personality testing. I think it was very eye-opening for him to have the chance to look at himself from a different vantage point. Her approach is very supportive and validating. She knows what to ask to make you (both the student and the parent) feel important and interesting. Finally, one of the things I appreciated most as a parent, was that she sent me an email after every session detailing what they had done and explaining her plans for the next session. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Michelle volunteers with my organization by tutoring an elementary school student in reading. She is always on time, easy to communicate with, delivers lessons with accuracy, and has built a strong relationship with her student. I would especially recommend her for elementary age children -- she is patient and great at gentle redirection.

My daughter was recently tutored by Sam for a college pre-cal/trig summer school course. The pace was fast and by the time we called Sam, she was in the fifth of her sixth week. By week 5 her grades were taking a downward spiral as the material was getting more complex. She was teetering on the precipice with a C-. After one intense week of working with Sam she finished with a B. He worked magic. He was patient and and an excellent teacher .I initially worried that he would be "too qualified" to tutor the course, but he was able to explain math to my rising sophomore college daughter, who has always struggled with the subject. He was the best math tutor my daughter has ever had. And a very nice man.

In Class Solutions was the solution to my children's homework problems. My tutor, Pamela Mitchell. is super professional, super fast at finding out what my kids were missing academically, and got them exactly what they needed. She also did SSAT prep with my oldest daughter to prepare her for the private middle school admissions process. Overall, I cannot recommend In Class Solutions enough! They were thorough in their assessment of my kids, and continue to be my childrens' secret weapon for getting straight A's in school year after year.

Beza tutored me in introductory French as I was interested in picking up basic communication skills in the language. Beza is fluent in written and spoken French having gone through a French school system all his life. He assessed what I wanted to get out of the sessions and came well prepared for the lessons. It was a pleasure to be tutored by Beza. Thanks!

          About

I am very passionate about teaching but I'm also versatile. Though I like to use a certain teaching method, I will definitely make any needed adjustment that is compatible to the student's learning mode.
