FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
From time to time I will extend complimentary services just to make the connection with the client. However, it often depends on the simplicity of the project and the client's location.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for working with new customers: I would typically ask qualifying questions to assess the clients's need further. I'd ask for examples of inspiration because I understand that it can be difficult for clients to articulate a specific style or design concept. However, there are a lot of savvy clients out there who come prepared with questions based on their research of the industry. With that type of client, it's easier to guide them through the process. However, there are others that show up with trusting of my expertise. Either way, I really enjoy working with both types of clients.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Product knowledge is extremely important. As the customer demands pushes the need for new trends. It's important to stay up on new introductions. I am constantly required to attend weekly training of new product introductions as well as industry standard updates. I also travel to see fashion, trade shows and attend networking events. Trade publications is another way I stay up on what's happening within the industry. In addition to that, I do hold my Bachelors of Art degree in Fashion Marketing and Retail Management from the Art Institute of Washington.
