Haywood and Alexa are fantastic trainers. They are patient and smart and knowledgeable and they know how to work with both the dogs and the owners! They are very clear about how to practice commands at home. They helped me get basic control over my dog at first, in one on one sessions (he was a very exuberant and strong large rescue dog who I was afraid would pull me down the street). And then when he was calmer, we joined the group lessons so that he would learn to follow commands despite lots of distractions from other dogs and traffic and people. My friends are amazed at our dog's progress and people stop me on the street to compliment his good behavior! I highly recommend Academy Dog Training by Haywood.

Hello! My name is Tommy Streat. I am a dog walker, a pet sitter, a pet chauffeur, and a house-sitter located in Springfield, Virginia, with a stretchable 30-mile range of service. I absolutely love all animals, and I especially love dogs. I have grown up with dogs and many pets all of my life. I have bred, fostered, and rescued dogs. I have also been pet sitting and dog walking my whole life. I currently live with two dogs, two cats, a pond full of gold and coy fish, a backyard garden, and many houseplants. I know that most dogs have an immense amount of energy and a strong need for socialization. I also know that it can be hard to keep up with. I am more than happy to be here to help with a wide range of services. Even if your dogs just need to go to the bathroom in the yard while you're at work, if the yard needs to be cleaned up because that's where they usually go to the bathroom, if you need someone to clean the litter box or your other pets' cages or tanks, if you don't want to come home to the mess that your pets may have made, or maybe your pets need to be brushed, whatever your situation is and whatever kind of pet(s) you have, I will be an ardent caretaker. I believe that I am a patient and loving person, and I believe that this is necessary in caring for animals. I would never be forceful with your pet. Their unique personalities are what I live for. I am certified in pet CPR and first aid. I am very comfortable administering medications. I have dealt with many medical situations with animals and taken them all very seriously. I am acquainted with the veterinarians and animal hospitals of the area. You can feel confident that I will be prepared to make it to the nearest place of care if necessary. The other services that I provide are equally enjoyable to me. I love to garden, and I have many plants of my own that I have grown from seeds. I know what it is like to love and adore your plants. I love watching birds anywhere, so I would also be happy to fill your bird feeders. I know where to go if you need me to pick up any sort of pet supplies from any providers of your choice, or if you would like to come home to some of your favorite groceries. The list goes on below, and I appreciate you taking the time to read this. Thank you! I very much look forward to meeting you and your pets! Free Consultation Before we begin the services, I would like to get together with you and your pet(s) in person. You can help me get to know your pet(s), and we'll discuss the services you and your pet(s) need. We will fill out a service agreement, which includes your veterinarian's information, emergency contacts, and any special instructions you may have. You may also provide me with a copy of your key. After this, all you need to do is call, text, or e-mail to arrange the services. Keys I will only receive and return your key with you in person. You may drop them off at my home, or I can pick them up at your home for an $8 fee (unless I receive a copy at our consultation). If you decide to leave me a key for long-term service, it will be kept in a safe with a number that does not expose your name or address.
