Where do we start? Elena and I were really nervous to hire a "day of" wedding coordinator from Thumbtack - solely because of the fear of not really knowing the person prior to hiring. We feel soooo lucky that we found Stephanie! Stephanie had a few plans to choose from - we chose the "month of" wedding coordinator plan. When we met her at Starbucks for our initial meeting, Elena and I picked her out among all the other "Starbuckers" because she looked very organized, professional, but also approachable. We interviewed two wedding coordinators from Thumbtack and really liked both of them. Ultimately, we hired Stephanie. She was absolutely excellent! Stephanie coordinated with all of our vendors starting one month before the wedding. That was such a relief! She delivered our welcome bags to the hotel for us, met us and vendors at the venue a month before the wedding to go over the plan, and very professionally inserted her suggestions and took charge as needed. Most notably, on our wedding day, with just 1 hour available for setup at the venue (a VA winery), she and her crew setup all of our decorations, seating charts, cornhole, ladder ball game and much more. She just seemed to have everything together and Elena and I felt so very relieved to have her part of the day. I should also add that somehow Stephanie was able to manage our very excited and helpful family members during the setup process. Strange thing is, we didn't see much of Stephanie during the wedding - she was working all the behind the scenes and everything was flawless. She didn't have many questions for us during the wedding.. she just handled everything. We had so much fun at our own wedding and with our family and friends. Thank you Stephanie and your crew for taking away the stress on the wedding day and letting us truly enjoy ourselves. I don't think we would have had such a carefree time without you guys. If you are reading this review and are in the market for a wedding planner (from start to finish, or "day of"), look no further. My experience with Stephanie Moran and her team at Six-Twenty Events was no less than outstanding. She is the consummate events professional, going over every detail prior to my wedding day and then arriving early day of, and managing every detail. I handed over the site decorations and left it up to her and her assistants. Needless to say, she did a terrific job. She also made sure every detail was taken care of prior to closing out the event. She is organized, creative, extremely hard working and she brought important details to my attention that I either hadn't thought of or was not aware of. Stephanie helped me plan a birthday party at my house for my two girls who were turning 4 & 6. She coordinated all the vendors, came up with the theme and invitations, and ordered/delivered all the decorations. Her vision for the party was spot-on, and everyone had a nice time and enjoyed themselves. I found it easy to communicate with Stephanie, she was always on time, aways delivered exactly what she said she would delver, and was respectful of costs/budget. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Because every couple, every wedding and every event is unique, my packages are bespoke for each of my clients. The fee will be determined by the services, size and complexity of the wedding or event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a Certified Independent Event Planner (CIEP) and Certified Wedding Planner (CWP) by the Wedding and Event Institute and approved by the International Special Events Society (ISES). I also attend at least two event industry conferences or educational meetings per year to stay up on the latest developments.
