Introduction: Fit Hidden Figures uses the latest technology to give our clients the maximum results. My name is Karene Richards, I am the Lead Coach & Trainer and a bikini masters overall champion. What makes us different from other trainers is that we also provide a customized meal plan and daily accountability for our clients. We offer two services, in one, health coaching and personal training. Health coaching includes a customized plan for meals and cardio. During your free consultation, I take numerous measurements to estimate your bodyfat percentage, lean mass and fat mass. Once I have estimated your body composition and learn of your physique goals, I create the customized plan based on these inputs. We leverage the latest in technology to monitor our clients individual cardio sessions remotely. Each Health Coaching client meets with me in person twice a month. I take progress photos and measurements on each visit. The second service is your traditional personal training where I use resistance training and weight lifting to build muscle. I have recently started my program with FHF and wanted to update my review. If you are looking for a trainer, health coach or both in the DMV area, Karene is THE BEST CHOICE and here's why: - My meal plan has finally put me in a position where I am not all hungry and can concentrate at work but am also eating at the deficit necessary to lose weight. In fact, some days I struggle to eat all of the meals allotted for the day. I no longer feel like I am competing between feeling fulfilled and losing weight; instead, I feel ALIGNED and on the right track. - The workouts push me harder than I ever would myself and snapped me out of the mentality that I need to spend hours logging cardio in order to lose weight (and therefore eliminated the "I don't have time" excuse). - Her program is structured and easy to follow - it takes away excuses and all the mental energy I used to spend analyzing why I eat poorly or negotiating with myself about what unsustainable diet to try or how to workout. FHF provides a *team* to guide you, motivate you and hold you accountable. I finally feel like I have what I need in order to be consistent and do the work. - I feel empowered. I have so much more data about my health and what I need to do to reach and maintain my goals. - On top of it all, Karene is friendly, nonjudgmental and fun. I trained with Karene for 4 months because I wanted to lower my body fat percentage. In about 4 months I lost about 4% body fat and I was amazed! Karene is an excellent instructor who gives you the full one on one experience! She is kind and dedicated and makes the client feel valued. Just be ready to put into the work and you will be pleased with the results.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    My hourly cost is $225 hour. I offer a discount of $200/hour if you sign up for a package of 10. We offer in person and remote training. For in person, all clients travel to me as I have a very private and personal gym.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    A healthy diet and a good fitness routine is necessary for great results. The first thing I do is measure the resting metabolic rate and bodyfat percentage of my clients. I determine the amount of calories needed per day based on this and the amount of protein necessary to build or maintain muscle. This is the building blocks of what’s needed to create a meal plan specific to the client. My client then log their foods on MyFitnessPal and I monitor daily for accountability. I personally allow my clients to see what I am consuming as well as a form of motivation. As it relates to fitness, each of my clients own a polar H10 Heart rate monitor as I need it to monitor the intensity of the workouts that they are doing when they are not training in my studio. I monitor the data of all my clients daily and offer feedback and motivation on a daily basis. Fitness is a lifestyle and you need a solid coach and accountability to see great results.
