Did a great job installing our cabinets. On time, professional. Would recommend. Thanks!
Completed fan installation, TV installation and a couple other misc projects around the house. Great value and service.
Norman arrived early and completed the installation of the cabinets timely. I am very please with the work done.
I cannot thank him enough! He gave an offer to my job and came very quickly to the site. Upon arriving to my house he quickly noticed an issue with the size of the garbage disposal being bigger than the last, worked around it, and made a fantastic installation. I could not be any more happy and now I have a "plumbing guy" because of his professionalism, honesty and ability to do great work!
We needed to have a shower door installed. This was the last item in a larger home remodel project. We asked the team who did the remodel but their price was higher than we were willing to pay at this point. We got a couple of other quotes which were all over the place. I had used thumbtack only once previously but never hired anyone. I thought I'd give it a try. Randy gave us a good quote that we were satisfied with. He didn't have any reviews on thumbtack so we were hesitant, but he provided references and explained that he just joined thumbtack. I spoke to a pro poetry manager and she praised Randy's work saying that he does all the work on their many properties. We have it a shot. We exchanged a couple of emails and phone calls prior to the actual work day. We weren't sure which door to order but with his advice we finally got it and scheduled the installation. Randy's worker was very prompt and thorough. The shower stall have him some trouble since it was porcelain tile, but he managed to get the screws in. Unfortunately the instructions for the door were confusing and the final few steps weren't done properly. I wasn't home when the installation was finished but when I returned and noticed it didn't look right I called the door manufacturer and they explained what was wrong. I called Randy who was very accommodating and his worker came the next morning and fixed the issue. They were both curteous. In the end we got the door installed within our budget. Our work in the house is complete now, but if we need anything else done in the future I will certainly ask Randy again for a quote.
We were upgrading (but not renovating) our kitchen, with used wooden cabinets. The cabinet sizes were uneven and our house's walls are tricky, being plaster and 100 years old. Nas Construction did an excellent, detail-oriented job of removing existing laminate cabinets and installing the new/used cabinets. The installation is very solid. They were easy to work with and I'd hire them again.
The deinstallaton of old blinds, the installation of new blinds, and replacement of old Mercury bulb went very well. Steve is very personable.
I hired Antonio (Tony) Sanchez from Renaissance Restoration to complete a kitchen renovation this past fall (sorry I did not get around to completing this review sooner!). I did all the demolition, but the job included lights and electrical, plumbing repair, cabinet and counter top install, appliance install, and painting. Tony gave a very reasonable estimate and personally worked on my project with his assistant from start to finish as opposed to having one of his employees complete the job. As he began the job, he soon realized that virtually nothing from the original construction was square (townhouse was built in 1987). However, that did not phase him as he had the skills to adjust making those imperfections unnoticeable in the end. In addition, Tony has skills in most of the trades which meant that he did not have to sub different parts of the job out; he did all the electrical, plumbing and carpentry himself. The best part of my experience working with Tony was that he discussed and explained different options or ways of completing a task to ensure there were no surprises, and I was impressed with his willingness to even teach me a little along the way. He was flexible in allowing me to have a friend install the tile floor and was understanding of my need to stick to a rather tight budget. There are only two comments I could make for overall improvement: cleanliness and timeliness. On a couple of occasions, I had to discard empty food containers and drinks that had been left behind. I attributed this to oversight and could be easily improved by making an effort to clean up the work site after each day of work. Considering it was not a space I was using though, it was not that big of a deal. As for timeliness, the project took longer than expected to complete. However, I know that my involvement did have some impact on the schedule and the fact he was doing the work himself while still managing other jobs is a factor. I would not hesitate to bring Tony in for another project in the future. I am completely satisfied with his work and would recommend him to anyone.
David and his crew were very professional. They built a new wall, installed a door and finished all drywall for our renovated bathroom and linen closet. David was very accommodating and paid attention to our special needs, double checking specifics with us along the way. He was very easy to work with and super nice. We are super happy with the results!
Ernie is a professional in terms of being clear with what the project needs. He adds his experiences, and knowledge of doing the best work he can offer. He is a great handyman and highly sort after. We used him for 2 weeks with cabinet install, drywall patching, minor projects. He normally works alone. He know other trades if necessary.
Oscar did an outstanding job fixing a poorly designed custom cabinet in our kitchen. The cabinet was too long for the over-the-range microwave, but b/c the entire wall of cabinets was one piece, the cabinet needed to be cut while still attached to the wall. Oscar put a lot of thought and effort to find a solution that works, did not involve replacing the entire set of cabinets and that looks great. He also installed the microwave and tuned up a few of the hinges on our other cabinets, all for a reasonable price. We are very happy with the results.
Simply put - Deck Wonders provided us with excellent service and we look forward to hiring them for future flooring and/or deck needs. In fact --- after having our tile installed by Deck Wonders, we hired them for a second project installing beadboard in our laundry room. Deck Wonders is a great company to hire because they are affordable, communicate their schedule and needs properly, do the job right, and finish within a reasonable amount of time. All of these reasons were evident to my wife and I after Deck Wonders completed the initial tiling job we hired them to do. As with most home improvements, some issues don't become evident until after you pay the service provider. At that point you're either screwed because the company won't come back to look at whatever is wrong, or you'll have to shell out more of your own money to find a new contractor to correct the first contractor's mistakes. With our tiling job, we found a few issues with the transition strips between the carpet and the newly laid tile --- namely the corners on the strips were coming up. We notified Deck Wonders and they were able to come out a few days later and properly fix the transition strips at no added expense to us. What made their return visit even sweeter was that we asked Deck Wonders for a quote to install beadboard in our laundry room during this visit --- not only were they able to provide a very competitive quote but they started and finished the installation of the beadboard that afternoon! That alone left my wife and I very impressed.
HBWoodwork & Solutions were definitely put to the test in having to build two cabinets from scratch and be installed in 48 hours due to the job scope and project location. Recommend him to everyone.
I contacted Julius to install some artwork in our newly renovated Washington DC office. He responded immediately with a quote and was able to schedule the work as requested the same week. He not only installed artwork as requested but also hung a couple of flat screen TV's. The office manager was very pleased with his work and professionalism. We plan to hire his company for additional work in the near future. Thanks, Danny
We originally hired Unlimited Resources to helped with mold remediation and demolition. We ended up hiring them to help install drywall, install cabinets, and install flooring. Overall we are happy with the out.
My husband and I struck gold when we found Sam Axton! We were referred to Sam by a friend after interviewing 8 differrent companies to update our 1910 master bathroom. Sam installed a beadboard ceiling, installed cabinets and reworked a wall cabinet, took care of plumbing, new toilets and sinks, plastered the walls and put in crown moulding with the most beautiful mitered corners. He has also taken care of trim on outside of the house. Our bathroom is beautiful! Sam is honest, and takes great pride in his workmanship. Something hard to find these days. He works fast and listens to what you need. We will be having him back for our next project.
Erick painted our 20-year old oak kitchen cabinets, installed soft-close hinges, and replaced our kitchen faucet. For a fraction of the cost of refacing or remodel, we have a beautiful like-new kitchen with a custom finish! Erick was meticulous in his work, prompt, courteous, and a true professional. We are incredibly pleased with the result, and highly recommend Erick.
Learned about Curtis' company through work he did for a neighbor who was extremely satisfied with his work. They allowed us to see the work he'd done on their master bath and it looked great. We had our townhouse kitchen renovated by them. Curtis provided a very comprehensive estimate which detailed some items we hadn't considered such as daily clean-up, the payment schedule, and how receipts would be handled for materials purchases. His estimate came in at the middle of 4 estimates we received for tear-down of the original kitchen, new cabinet installation, tile floors and backsplash with some electrical and plumbing thrown in. He was able to accommodate an earlier start date when the cabinets we ordered were available earlier then expected by 2 weeks. He and his 2 assistants worked efficiently and more importantly they took care when doing the demo (and throughout the project) to protect the hallway floors and other areas of the house from dust, dirt and debris. They worked very efficiently and by the end of the 2nd day were starting on laying the tile floor. Cabinet installation went smoothly and he was kind enough to point out a couple items which we needed to report back to the cabinet makers regarding some bowing. Overall the project took approximately 9 business days from start to finish with a few small visits to finish up hardware, trim and reinstallation of the dishwasher once the counters and sink folks (separate company) finished their piece. His 2 assistants were equally pleasant and made us feel comfortable so we could ask questions as needed. We plan to use Curtis' company Oddjobs.pro again for upcoming bathroom renovations and some other work we need done.
Very responsive, friendly and overall great service. Repaired my storm door better than the initial installation. Will definitely use in the future.
Really pleased with the work Emington did in my kitchen - some cabinet/counter modifications, and installation of new stove and range hood. Very efficient, quick replies to e-mails and texts, great value.
We were in a challenging position - we had already ordered IKEA cabinets, and were looking for a short turnaround time on completing our kitchen. Alex did a great job, at a great price, and was able to deliver on a tight time frame for us. As issues came up, he found solutions and dealt with the issues without complaint. He also offered a number of very good suggestions that made our kitchen more functional and attractive. We are looking forward to using Alex in our next place - although this time we will be smart and not order IKEA cabinets!
