I am very impressed with what he can do in class and how he works! The program is very professional and well-organized. It is structured so that you learn how to actually pronounce—many schools focus on teaching grammar and vocabulary but completely forget the third component that exists in our native languages, which is phonology, phonetics, or pronunciation—whatever you want to call it. Prof. Alex is that guy who handles this component so professionally that you succeed in each session with him! I’ve tried multiple phonetic exercises, and I immediately succeeded with them. Though this doesn’t mean I can speak like this right away, learning how to correctly articulate American English sounds improves overall speech! Prof. Alex has many advanced tools that make the process go very fast, and I am grateful for that— no one pros on this Thumbtack offers such opportunities. Laura was great, she is very professional, responsive, and punctual. She accommodated our needs and designed a training workshop for our group of interns on public speaking. She was engaging, gave them tips, came prepared with very useful practice exercises, and provided valuable feedback. The interns loved the session and found it very helpful in development and improving their public speaking skills. Overall, Laura is very nice and competent, we had a positive experience working with her, and we would probably hire her again in the future!
