I had the opportunity to be a client at Svetness for a little over a year. Due to my crazy schedule at the time, working out with a personal trainer was not an option until I met Svet. He took the time to come to my building and explain in person how things worked. I was introduced to Mahdi, who turned out to be the best personal trainer I have had until today. I got a customized work out and meal plan and started right away. Mahdi was very patient, professional and inspiring. He was a great motivation that helped me learn a lot about my body and healthy eating. If I had not moved to Europe, I'd still be working out with him for sure. Chris helped me train for about a month and I have learnt so much from the sessions. He taught me the basics of strength training and how I could combine that along with my cardio sessions. I was getting very bored of my treadmill and Chris encouraged me to try new techniques to boost my training so that i could get a kick out of my work outs! He introduced me to circuits. During the trainings he kept me motivated and pushed me to work hard. I toned my body doing just those exercises. He was a great trainer and kept me motivated all through.
I have always been reluctant to get a personal trainer because I thought I could do it myself; not to mention it was very costly. After months of frustration not seeing the results I expected, I decided to post on Thumbtack to get pricing for personal training. I received multiple calls and emails from various trainers in the area. Robert, from Fitness Stop, called with detailed information about his weight loss and strength training plan. Because of the information he provided, and I can assure you the other trainers did not give me this information, I was convinced I needed to meet with him for an initial assessment. After 6 weeks of following his plan, I've lost a little over 4% body fat and gained lean muscle mass. Not only do I feel healthier and more energetic, I've lost weight and inches! I've worked with majority of their trainers, and they are all amazing! Each workout is different to prevent your body from hitting a plateau. I like to think I know when I'm doing when it comes to weight loss as I've lost over 275 pounds over three years. Then I hit a very frustrating eight month plateau and decided I needed help. I love working with Cornelius. We meet twice a week and July will be my 3rd month of having him help me with fitness and strength training. There are many reasons why I would recommend him. Here are a few. I am 45 year old woman, 5.5 in height and weigh 230lbs. I was a strong swimmer when I was younger, but have never spent much time in gyms. I would describe myself as having little to no awareness of myself as someone who can train. But I did know that I needed and wanted to get into much better shape. I was also excited about developing better balance, a stronger core, and even new skills like boxing. When I met Cornelius he asked me detailed questions about why I was there and began to develop a program around my strengths, goals and limitations, which included a lower back injury and tendinitis in my left elbow. Every time we meet he asks briefly on how I am doing, and I know he is thinking through the workout to take me to the limit of my capabilities while still ensuring that it is enjoyable. I always have a great time and am tired but invigorated when I leave. This has altered how I view exercise and feel about myself. The gym where we train is tiny but has taught me important things about how less is more, and that you can do a lot with what's around you. This has been a huge help in keeping on training when traveling as you don't need to find a gym but can do many things to build strength and keep in shape where you are. Finally, I feel safe and respected working with Cornelius in the little gym and know that we are on a steady positive path to making real and lasting improvements to my health and wellbeing. Training with Jenise (BodyByJenise) has changed my life for the better! From the past two months I've worked out with her, I've definitely seen a huge difference in my body, eating habits, and overall energy. I use to workout in college but never remained consistent. I ended up gaining a lot of weight when I got out of college and never lost it. When I first met Dimitri over a year ago, I had a long way to go on my fitness journey and was a little bit intimidated about starting a training program. During our first training session I nearly passed out because I was out of shape, and I wasn’t fueling my body the way I needed. Right away Dimitri made me feel reassured that I could, and would, get stronger and better if I put in the work. He took the time to help me set my goals, discuss my likes/dislikes, and from there, created a custom plan for me to reach my goals. The program he designed relies on high-intensity intervals, coupled with strength training and kickboxing. I had never tried kickboxing before, but now it has become my favorite part of our sessions! A few months into our training I injured my ankle and thought I would need to put training on pause. Because of Dimitri’s expert knowledge of kinesiology and his extreme attention to avoiding further injury, I was able to continue on a modified program and make steady progress towards my goals. Arris is an amazing personal trainer and the perfect motivator to get off video games and screens for our 15 year old son who has special needs. He is patient but still challenges Zach to improve each session. Zach looks forward to his twice weekly work outs with Arris and has shown great results in his strength and endurance training. Highly recommended for anyone as a personal trainer no matter if you are training for a sport or simply want to get into better shape!
When I started training with Sean I was a 39 year old mother of two. I've struggled with my weight my whole life. I didn't exercise; didn't really know how to, and I certainly didn't watch what I ate. That's not the role model I wanted to be for my kids. I didn't want to be the mom who sat on the sidelines and watched her kids lives go by. I found Sean through a co-worker. I can’t say enough good things about Julian! We definitely hit the jackpot with him and in a very short time, he’s become a great trainer, mentor and role model for my 15 year old son who has wanted to increase his strength/stamina while working on his soccer skills. Julian very quickly responded to my search for a personal trainer and was incredibly professional during our introductory call. It was evident that his knowledge of /experience with soccer as a player and coach would be a good match for my son. He also shared his philosophy about strength training with kids, specifically how he seeks to understand what motivates and is important to them, so he could then weave in his expertise which ultimately would result in a truly customized program to help accomplish their goals. Julian maximizes every second during each workout and even encourages kids to come in early to get warmed up (so really, while you pay for a 60-minute session, you get 70-75 minutes!) My son has already noticed physical changes, but beyond that, his sense of confidence, focus, and dedication has increased tremendously. Julian provides encouragement inside and outside the gym by keeping tabs on my son and checking in on how he’s doing. Even when my son tried out for another soccer team, Julian gave him sound advice throughout the process, acted as a sounding board, and alleviated any anxiety he had. I travel often and have an extremely busy schedule when I am not traveling. Utilizing League Elite's online training allows me to take advantage of personal training on MY schedule. Some days I prefer to workout really, really early and other days I prefer to work really, really late hours. Having 24hr access to my workout plan is P-E-R-F-E-C-T for me. Coach K and JB are awesome! They are professional, reliable and knowledgeable trainers. I like that they designed a workout and a meal plan specifically for ME. I can't begin to describe how great Rachaad Is. You will see results and you won't be disappointed. But the awesome part is - he keeps you motivated. He believes in you when you don't think you can and he let's you know it. He just doesn't give up on you. And his optimistic attitude helps keep you focused on the goal. After three months, I have upper body strength for the first time in my life (I have never been able to do push-ups before now). He listens to you when you tell him something doesn't feel right, hurts, or is straining; and he changes the game plan while still achieving the end goal. Incredible trainer.
My experience with TakeFlight Fitness was a success! I was skeptical at first about the goals I wanted to achieve and if they would happen within the 7 sessions that I scheduled. But to my surprise, the sessions with Paul helped me to learn about dieting, staying consistent and keeping positivity that you can always achieve any goal you desire. I didn't think I'd be able to gain any muscle mass and weight but I did and I managed to meet my weight goal of 140. Since then, I've been very consistent in maintaining my diet and sticking to my workout routines at home and in the gym. Everyone in my surroundings have also noticed the improvement in my body structure which lets me know that my experience with TakeFlight is recognized. My biggest take away from training with TakeFlight Fitness is that you have to understand it's not an easy job for fitness and there's a lot of scientific background to know how the body works. However, if you seriously want to change your lifestyle for the better, you'll do whatever is possible to reach that goal.
I've been training with Nate several times a week for over 5 years, and I couldn't be more pleased with my progress, fitness level (strength, duration, flexibility), and the ongoing challenge and diversity of workouts -- they're never boring and incorporate strength, stability and core, time under tension, and functional training for every part of my body. In addition, Nate's a nice guy with a great sense of humor, so the workouts are tough but enjoyable. After his initial assessment, he continued to take the time to get know me individually and has a vested interest in my health, well being, strengths, and weaknesses (he enjoys identifying and having me work on my weaknesses!). Nate works hard with each of his clients and he customizes each workout for their individual needs and goals. In the 5+ years I've trained with him, Nate has never been late or missed a workout -- even in snowstorms! When I need to change a training appointment, Nate works very hard to find a time that is mutually beneficial. Finding the right personal trainer that had the proper knowledge, experience, equipment, interpersonal skills, and motivation to align with mine was tough; and I couldn't be happier to have found Nate. My investment in training with him has been more than worth it: I'm in great physical shape, my doctor asks if I've found the fountain of youth, and I've made a good friend in the process.
Ken is extremely diligent & conscientious in his preparation for each training session with me. He literally does homework ahead of time & researches the best exercises & stretchesfor my injuries, such as sciatica & recovery from meniscus tear & surgeryon my left knee. He is also extremely flexible, so, despite his prep, he is able to improvise on the fly ifI am unable to performparticular exercises. He is personable & warm & makes the hour fly by. I used to hate exercising but that is becoming less & less the case working with Ken.
Chad is the Man, I have been working with him all last year and he is very knowledgeable and helps me achieve my goals by customizing a training program for me. Top notch!
