As an adult beginner, I was very nervous to start learning piano. Charlotte eased all of my worries within the first lesson. I’ve been taking lessons with her for 6 months now and I’m amazed at how much growth and progress I’ve seen in my piano skills. Charlotte is kind, patient, and passionate about teaching piano. She has the incredible talent of being a gifted classically-trained pianist while also having the nature and understanding necessary to teach. Hands-down, she is the best at what she does. I would highly recommend Charlotte to both adults and children who are interested in learning piano.

My 8 yo son started taking piano lessons with Ms Charlotte and we couldn’t be happier. She is an excellent instructor that makes every lesson fun and exciting. We’ve only had one lesson with Ms. Charlotte but my 5 year old loves her. She doesn’t make the lesson boring for her and really makes it enjoyable. My daughter can’t wait to go back.

Charlotte taught my older son to play piano so well he can play in church and at other functions. Currently my younger son is also getting lessons from her. She loves children, is very patient, homely and welcoming and makes her students feel at ease and willing to learn. She has done an amazing job with my younger son who, despite his difficulty focusing, now plays well and tries to compose his own songs at home. My children are both involved in several other activities, and it is Charlotte's flexibility and willingness to arrange convenient times for lessons that made it possible for them to take piano lessons as well. As a very busy mom being pulled in all directions, that is a huge deal that I'm very grateful for. You can't go wrong with Charlotte!

Ask about music background. Explain that music is another form of expression to enjoy and develop. Physical exercises to relax muscles. If a child, develop high-low concepts with body, voice and on keyboard (black keys). Proper posture at piano, proper arm/hand posture. Finger exercises. Begin orientation of left/right hand up/down keyboard. Begin location of certain notes up/down keyboard (C, E, D) Amount of information per lesson depends on each student's abilities, which are respected.
