FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually quote a fixed price per project; however, for small projects I will do an hourly charge of $95.00/hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will set-up an appointment to meet with the homeowner(s) to discuss the project details. There is no money exchanged here! This is a free estimate. If the project is large, I will do a preliminary rough estimate to see if the project cost falls within your budget. If it does, then I will do a very detailed estimate. Never, ever, ever, tell anyone how much you are budgeting! Let the pro give you an honest estimate first.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have done hundreds of projects ranging from small interior jobs to total gut jobs of multi-family homes. I used to flip properties, so I think I have seen almost anything that someone who has been in this business for a number of years can imagine. I have "fixed" a lot of inferior carpentry work as well.....so I either do it right the first time, or I do not do it.
