I just started training with Oney one-on-one less than a month and I love it. Oney is one of the most experienced & committed trainers around. I really enjoyed the varieties & challenges he put into the sessions. He is focused on helping me achieve my goals and makes every session challenging & of course fun. Most importantly, he ensures that my technique is always correct to avoid any injuries. He is extremely reliable & punctual, always set up & ready to start training with an exercise routine planned. For every soreness I experience, the more I want to go back. I must be a glutton for punishment. I thoroughly enjoy working out at Onyx Fitness and would recommend Oney & his team to anyone looking to improve their fitness with a dedicated group of trainers.
I can I explain the appreciation for anna! Not only is she helping me get fit, she also motivates you! You can see the results after the first session not even exaggerating! It's unbelievable!!! The one on one sessions at her home gym which is fully equipped and welcoming are the best! I have never had a personal trainer before her and I've been to the gym but the trainers there do not seem to care much for their bodies. On the other hand, anna gives me work outs which she does herself and has videos to show me how the exercises are supposed to be done. She has a lot of patience and is willing to give all her knowledge if you're willing to put in the effort!! Best decision I have ever taken!!
Corey is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He works with your current physical state to know what exercises to suggest and build the workout around you. He showed up each session prepared with a schedule of different exercises for my training. I looked forward to our sessions each week and I would highly recommend Corey.

I have had many trainers. Bentley was the best by far. He listened to me and delivered. All I ever wanted was pretty arms. I workout a lot on my own and look good. I take pride in that. Riccardo trained me for almost two months while I was vacationing in Florida . He was AMAZING!!!!!! He was very easy to get along with and I felt comfortable with him from our first meeting ! In the short time we were together he developed a personalized program that consisted of strength /circuit training in my gym Combined with pool training . He is the reason I dropped 15 pounds in the short time we were together . I have had many trainers in my life and I have never met Anyone like Riccardo . He is definitely the BEST trainer I have ever had ! When my husband joined me for the last two weeks , Riccardo also trained him . they hit it off from the start! If you want someone that is going to be 100% invested Mariana is your trainer. She is dedicated. She doesn't over reach. She sets goal that are attainable and workouts that fit the student. With an added kick. You want to give extra for her because of how much she believes in you. I have a long way to go to get to my goal but I'm so grateful that Mariana is there with me in this journey. She is a willing and active team member and I feel she will not let me down. Here is to a new beginning.
There are quite a few trainers that are knowledgeable but I have found them lacking in other areas. I have tried to work with trainers in the past and just felt they were going “through the motions”. Hannah is certainly knowledgeable but her enthusiasm and investedness in your personal goals is humbling. She really cares about her clients and their goals!
I've worked with multiple gyms and trainers (both regular and combat) and I haven't found an instructor with more expertise or encouragement. The other students are also awesome people and very welcoming. If you want to learn to defend yourself in real situations, this is the place to do it. I'm glad I found Strength4Combat.
This is going to be long! After being widowed suddenly at age 56 in 2014, I found myself slipping slowly into a state of uselessness. The very active lifestyle I formerly enjoyed included running half marathons and most recently the NYC Marathon last November - all to fundraise for child protection and water projects in Haiti and Africa through World Vision. My desire was to continue in service, and I was further inspired during a 10-day "Vision Trip" to Ethiopia and Kenya with World Vision to visit water projects in World Vision communities, meet the villagers the projects served, meet one of my sponsored children, and run "The Great Ethipoian Race". My 9 travel companions and I also went to collection sites where women and children were fetching contaminated water for drinking and cleaning. Witnessing this and getting to speak with the villagers moved my heart to continue in service to help them. Once I got back to a house without my husband though, I sank into a feeling of unworthiness, uselessness, lack of motivation, and despair. Even running did not cheer me as it used to. I carried the guilt of not moving to help the people I had met in Africa. Before leaving on a 10-day vacation at the end of April, I was carrying 7 lbs. over my race weight. During the vacation, I gained 9 lbs. more. Once home, I started back to a half-hearted workout program, but had a hard time quitting sugary treats. Then, I gained 2 lbs. more! What a failure I was. I was weighing more than ever - besides during my pregnancy. I realized that I needed someone who would be there for me to force me to get back into a regular and sound workout program. The things I hated the most were - not wanting to or feeling like I could run another half marathon, my growing belly that reflects an imminent serious health problem, and being stagnant in my service to the people who had moved me in Africa. Then, after having used Thumbtack to hire a tree pruner and liking the service, I decided to look for a personal trainer who would force me off of my butt. I really liked the way I received immediate responses and profiles. Once I had narrowed it down to 2 trainers, I scheduled interviews with both of them. They both interviewed very well, but Eric seemed to "fight" for my business. He was willing to train me every day that I was home and on weekends for the same price as weekdays. I work as a flight attendant, and my schedule varies. Eric was also less expensive than the other interviewee and super flexible with his hours. I hired him, and we started training the following day. There's nothing to complain about with Eric. He's either right on time with our appointments or more often than not, he texts me if he's able to get to me a little earlier. He texted me the one time he was running a little late too. He doesn't keep me wondering, and I appreciate his energy. Eric really encourages me, and I needed to have someone to get me wanting to be dressed in my workout clothes and ready to go when he would arrive. When he started with me, I really wanted to perform well for him when I didn't want to do it for myself. Now, I'm back to wanting to be performing on my own and seeing my future as being able to run again for my friends in Africa or continuing with being a child ambassador for sponsorship. Since May 16, Eric has trained me at my home 8 times. He put together a daily workout schedule for me to do either in my hotel room or at the hotel fitness center when I'm away from home. He taught me how to use the TRX system and resistance bands when I'm away, and he had me record a video of him going through all of the exercises for me to reference. My memory is not the best, but I don't need my memory when I have the videos to follow and my plan sheet that he provided for me. During our sessions, he coaches me enthusiastically through my sets and keeps me moving fast. In 45 minutes, I'm getting 100% of his creativity with the way he uses the items in my home gym plus things like brooms and garden tools that are around to give me a super effective workout. He can really think quickly on his feet and most importantly, he makes the workouts FUN! He keeps me pretty sore, but not so sore that I can't function. Also, before the marathon, I had 3 injuries during training - my Achilles, my calf, and my knee at separate times. With Eric's workouts, I feel that these three areas are getting stronger, and are not a problem nor weak. Eric's workouts don't include crazy, injury-likely, exercises. Eric took measurements when we started training together. So, I can't give specific results right now because we will take the next measurements after I've been training 4 weeks. I do see that my arms are already more toned, but my belly is still flabby. I don't expect that area to respond right away anyway. He's having me use the app "MyFitnessPal" to keep track of what's going into my mouth, and he had me adjust the percentages of fat, protein, and carbs in the app. I'm a little discouraged that I've only lost 2.8 lbs. from my highest weight, but at least I'm not still gaining and I am more toned. When I hit the 4 weeks, I'd like to submit another review so that you can see the real results. I've decided to stick with Eric's personal training for at least 90 days. After that, I hope to have the confidence to go to the gym he's opening from time to time or have him still come to my home once per week to keep me on track. My finances will most likely determine that. Ultimately, I hope to maintain this lifestyle change. The good thing is that I'm being held accountable by Eric, and I'm happy to check in with him by text when I'm out of the country to prove that I'm doing my daily workouts without him. It's good to have someone to keep me motivated. Also, he practices what he preaches. He's in excellent shape himself, exudes youth and energy, and reflects a happy life through his smile and glow. He always keeps things upbeat and positive, seeks and works hard to meet his own goals for his business and desire to help people, and that impresses me in this handsome and charming young man. Finally, I highly recommend Eric to anyone like myself who had maybe been an athlete and for one reason or another, has fallen into a deep slump, depression, and lack of motivation. Eric's energy and positive attitude will get you moving again and wanting to do good in this world. He'll get you out of bed and feeling great!!

I was looking for a trainer who could focus on my specific needs in achieving physical test standards. I immediately liked how Raz was able to adapt and work on a routine that was geared toward my goals. I have been training with him for a little over 2 months and after every workout I’m sore, which I don’t mind because he turns it up a notch every session so I can gradually meet my goal. However, I’d like to emphasize that although he motivates and encourages you to give it your all, he has much self awareness on how difficult or tiresome a routine may feel to a person who isn’t in shape as him. Therefore, he will not make you overdo it because he wants you to gradually make this your lifestyle instead of getting overwhelmed or so gassed out you quit working out. Raz is very punctual! He’s always 10 minutes earlier than scheduled ready to go. He’s also willing to meet with me at a local park on Saturday mornings (rain or shine). Another thing I really like about Raz is that unlike other trainers, he’s never looking at his watch. I don’t feel like he’s trying to rush out of my session to go running to meet another client, which demonstrates me he has good time management skills and does not overbook. Also, besides the quick warm up and cool down, he’s not one of those trainers that wastes almost the entire session by telling you just to do cardio or use the gym machines. His workout are diverse and he will bring a lot of his own training gear if you’re gym isn’t fully equipped. In 2 months I’ve gone from not being able to run one lap to running almost 2 miles non-stop. I continue to improve in my other PT goals and once Raz saw I was good on one thing, he decided to dedicated my sessions to my weaker areas. Lastly, due to a possible relocation for work, Raz has been flexible with my payment options and even offered to reimburse payments for any session that has to be cancelled if I move. I would recommend Raz to anyone looking for a professional, punctual, friendly, and knowleadge trainer.
One session is all it takes to be totally hooked on Brandon's super-positive, ready-to-work attitude! Brandon has impressed me with his professionalism and great sense of customer intuition since he first sent me a quote. Unlike other trainers who quoted, he didn't send an aggressive, overly-salesy message. He sent me a very informative and reassuring message where he outlined exactly how things would work if I wanted them to. He offers a massively discounted first session, so it was a no-brainer for me to at least try things out with him. I continue to be so impressed with Brandon. He shows up twice a week armed with all sorts of equipment and I find his energy and positivity wonderfully contagious. He's kind, courteous, friendly, professional, a great communicator, he's a hero when I need help pushing through an exercise, and he always takes a moment to explain exactly what we're doing and what it's going to effect. I have been"around" and I've experienced many different gyms and trainers so I believe I can give a respectable testimonial about my experience with James Tilley. Not only does he tailor my workouts for my personal needs, which can change weekly, James gives me an effective workout, always paying close attention to my performance so that I will not injure myself. He also explains the movements so I understand HOW I could injure myself and why it is so important to pay attention to technique. Not only have I improved aesthetically but I feel great! I feel younger and more energetic and I am 67 years old!! In addition to his superior abilities as a trainer, James brings to every session his upbeat, energetic, and always encouraging personality. All I can say after this is "I could not be happier with any other personal trainer!" Thank you James for all your hard work!!

Ive been a client of M.R Fitness since December of 2013 and I absolutely love it! I am currently doing 3 sessions of 30 minutes a week. First, I warm up, then he will have a rutine for me, which consist of different exercises for 30 straight minutes. Then 20-30 minutes of cardio of his choice or mine. His sessions are always different and fun. Michael (Mike) Is very professional, knowledgeable plus he has an excellent personality, which allows you to be comfortable around him and not feel intimidated. He focuses on his clients needs, and hes there every minute, every step of your work out to push you and cheer you, which motivates you to do/give your best. He preaches a lot about eating right, so be prepared to be questioned about your daily food intake, he definitely keeps you in check. Mike, also takes the time to show and explain each work out, and he makes sure that his clients are performing their work out safely and properly. So, if you ask me if I would recommend him? I would say of course I do!!! And this is why: I can tell how passionate Mike is about his job and it reflects on the way he trains his clients. He is approachable, patient, easy to talk to and he is fun too and not to forget he is very respectful. I enjoy every session with him, Ive learn a lot and I know I will continue learning a lot more from him. This has definitely been one of the best decisions Ive made for 2014 not only to change the way I look and feel, but by choosing (in my opinion) a great trainer.
One of my favorite trainers! He will push you to reach your goal and give you the motivation you need to get to your end result! He has always proven to be a very dedicated and responsible person when it comes to his work. Out of all the trainers I know, in my opinion, Christian is the best one. Just don't let him have a banana before your workout. 🙄😳💪🏽
I've trained with a few trainers in the area and I have to say Ignacio was the best. Before training with Ignacio, I had trouble staying consistent with my weight loss goals. He definitley makes working out more interesting as he is always changing up workouts. Before I would steer clear of gyms and trainers because I had this fear of underperforming and although I'm a far cry from the many athletes he trains, Ignacio always find something positive to say at the end of every workout giving me the courage to come back again. I am very pleased with Ignacio as my trainer and I know you would be too!
