- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Since I was a little girl, I always enjoyed being of service to others. I worked as a Social Worker and Health Counselor for 18+ years, and eventually got my Masters Degree in Counseling. However, the counseling model did not always sat well with me. While I recognize that counselling has its place, I frequently found that clients tend to linger to past emotions and issues for long periods of time, which prevents them from moving forward. This is why I totally fell in-love with the coaching model, as it focuses more on possibilities and optimization of opportunities, so clients can achieve a fulfilled and happy life.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Among the most common coaching services I provide, are health coaching (smoking cessation, weight loss and management, exercise, etc.), relationship coaching (improving relationships with partner, children, teenagers, parents, etc.), job or career change (using past experience for easier transition.), and personal coaching (finding one's purpose, becoming more organized, friendly, etc.)
