FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a very small fraction of what others charge for what I teach. There are things I help singers with that most vocal coaches do not do, such as style and musicality. I offer discounts on packages of lessons.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I do not call a protégé a customer, first of all. I get to know the singer's needs, goals, desires and dreams. We start the journey by discovering the weak points, as well as the strong points and proceed to strengthen all areas. As long as a singer does his/her part, they will progress as rapidly as is possible. I approach singing from a very holistic way, and build upon the singer's abilities and artistry, eliminating obstacles and filling in the gaps of knowledge, as necessary.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly studying music, recording engineering, to learn more. I also read extensively about the medical side of the voice, to help singers prevent strain or injury. I was trained very intensively in Las Vegas. I have found that the most rapid progress has come from training one-on-one, rather than in a class or in a school.
