    Replaced Hard drive with a sold state new one.
    Very quick and professional service. Everything is working well, except for the sound. They have contacted me on that and I'm sure it will be resolve shortly. Otherwise I would have given them a 5 star rating. When the sound is fixed I'll give them a 5 star rating.

    Outlook Express misadventure
    Outlook Express was corrupted. Did not reinstall as suggested with a software reinstall. Indicated the Outlook Express was not corrupted. It was & still is. Disappointed, sorry to say.....

    No outlook express is not corrupted. If it was then you would not be able to open it at all, you had the wrong settings. I showed you the new way you need to be accessing your email by setting up the account via IMAP. POP is old technology and you cannot use it the way you had been. If you feel I am wrong, I have a 6 month warranty on my work, why not reach back out to me? I am trying to find you in our database but I cannot under the name Don. Please contact me back. I remember helping you, we sat at my front counter and went over everything and accessed your email using the Outlook Express. You understand too that Outlook Express is no longer supported by Microsoft but again it is not corrupted, you had the wrong setting configured in your Outlook Express Profile that of which I corrected and showed you all this. I am disappointed you have not reached back out to me if you feel I did not solve your problem?

    I needed data recovery on a laptop hard drive that went down with several years worth of priceless photos. I had first taken it to Office Depot. They tried but said the drive was damaged and I would need professional recovery services. I was very concerned with some of the recovery fees I was seeing around the web. The photos may be priceless but my wallet is not bottomless and I was seeing fees that could have easily crept into the thousands. Not too mention, you can't get a quote until they have your data hostage. Thumbtack came up in a google search so I thought I would give it a shot. Within minutes Christian reached out to me and I was able to drop the drive off at his office. He was able to due some analysis and quoted a MUCH more manageable figure than anyone else. The recovery took about 4 days and I was given a status every day. I couldn't be more thrilled with the service I received and I have my photos back! I would highly recommend Christian and his company for this and the other services they offer. I will certainly use them in the future (although hopefully I won't need more data recovery!)

    Bit Tek got my computer working fine even though it took longer than expected ( as most things do once you open them up), however I WILL USE THEM AGAIN because they never raised their price to me even though it was way more involved than originally thought to be and lots more parts replaced. Good job.

    I was told $15 to evaluate and "with any luck at all" the keyboard would just be unplugged - indeed it was just unplugged but I was charged $55.00. You decide rip off or reasonable.

    Took my samsung s5 in for repair..Phone was in working order but would shut down sometimes. All functions working when i took it in. I was told that they would clean it up for $65 but no warranty..I said ok,, however, by the time I got it back it didn't work at all. I was going to get my otterbox and sim card back and leave the phone for the charges, but I was still charged $65. I explained to them that I wasn't happy at all with this, but that didn't matter. During the 2-3 week my phone was there I was quoted $65, then told no charge, then back to $65. The sign on the silver car out front says "no fix,no fee". I understand that the fix wasn't guaranteed, but the phone would not even turn on when I picked it up, and they both know this. I would have been ashamed to charge full price for this. I went there knowing they had not been able to fix the phone, and willing to pay a minimum amount for their work, but was told I owed the $65. I won't be back there or recommend them to anyone.

    Hi Philip, we quoted you $65 for the repair since you had gotten your phone wet and we discussed we only charge this if we get the phone to power up. We did get your phone to power up and even backed up your info from your phone at no additional charge. The no fix no fee does not apply in the event you are the one deciding not to go forward with the repair work. We told you we could swap out the board which is what the phone needed, you chose not to go through with the repair work. You cannot leave your phone here either as a form of payment. We are very honest in all the work that we do and transparent. We don't offer false expectations either. We told you there was no charge for the screen that broke that we replaced for you. I am sorry, I think I need to call you because it seems like you did not understand what was said or explained. I will reach out to you.

    Christian unknowingly had his hands full when he accepted the seemingly simple task of diagnosing a keyboard issue. It was a programming snafu between Samsung and MS Windows which totally wiped out everything saved on my computer and reset to factory defaults. Christian spent over three weeks running a recovery program to try to get my pictures and saved files back. He did an awesome job of retrieving the most important files and information. He even made a folder of the remaining corrupted files and put it on my desktop so I could go through and identify the remaining items I need him to restore. He did all of this and shipped my laptop back to me and didn't charge me one cent more than his original estimate. I understood the risks involved when I dropped it off and Christian could have easily said, "sorry s**t hapens," but instead went WAY above and beyond to make things right. If that isn't the ULTIMATE in Customer Service, there is no such thing. Thank you Christian, Jennifer and the rest of the crew, I would highly recommend you and your shop, 1000 times over!

    they did a great job the only thing wsa delivery of part I paid for next day delivery and it wsn't, then when I picked it up they did apologize but then told me they gave them money back on shipping which was not reflectedd off my bill. Seems it should have been when I paid an extra 30.00 for a service I did not receive. Other than that they were great. Replaced power supply on 2 computers

    Hi Deborah, I think there was a miscommunication issue here. You did indeed pay for expedited shipping. The supplier we ordered from incorrectly reflected an "estimated" delivery date and Jennifer had told you it would be overnighted. It was indeed expedited the quickest method available for you which was next business day shipping. The product first has to leave the warehouse. The warehouse could take an entire week to box it up if they want to, it's only once it leaves the warehouse is when it gets to the carrier that expedites the shipping you paid for and did receive. I did have a talk with Jennifer and I did let her know that she cannot "guarantee" anything to a customer especially when something like this is not within our control (we are not the ones physically in the warehouse nor delivering it). Oh, and we had asked the supplier about a refund on the shipping and this is also what was explained to us so I am not certain where the communication error occurred saying we got refunded but we did indeed inquire about it so this may have been where the error occurred. I however always take care of my customers so if you will remind me of this discussion on your next visit, I would like to put a $30 credit on your account good towards any product or service. Just ask for me Christian. I hate it when a customer is not absolutely thrilled with a service we provide and I am sorry we did not go that extra mile with you. We always shoot for stellar customer service and I hope to see and hear from you very soon. Thank you also for bringing this to my attention so I can make certain things like this do not happen going forward. I want to make sure we are committed to having the best customer service and the overall best value for all my customers. Thanks again.

    He has the knowledge & plenty of education to tackle the challenge that I presented him with! Believe me when I say challenge but he said that he was up for it & loves a challenge! He was also friendly & has a nice, clean store which is a family run business ...they are both awesome & professional..working together as a great team! Pretty much the problem with my laptop was the internal wifi adapter would not connect to a brand new jetpack I got from Verizon & they messed around with it thru "tech support" for hours on the phone with them & when they couldnt figure it out they sent me to a Verizon store where I spent many more hours with 3 different reps trying to make it work with my laptop! By then I was so aggravated by them failing to fix my problem so I used the app "ok google" to help me find repairs in the area I live & Thumbtack had a bunch of them & Bit Tek Solutions came up & responded to my request & am I ever glad they did because their prices are reasonable & I got the best service possible & really liked working with them! I highly recommend them to everyone I know now, plus I will be doing business with them again on another laptop I own real soon! They are the best!!!

    You may want to think twice before taking your tablet in to be repaired. I took my iPad 2 in for a cracked screen (something was dropped on it, it hadn't been dropped) on a Saturday. With the understanding it would be done on Monday. I get a call Monday that they had torn/snipped a wire and needed to wait for a part and that it would be 5 days or so before it would be ready... Okay. I go and pick it up, when I get it home I see that the glass is not really fitting and is lifting up on the corners, it isn't registering touch consistently, the home button is taking 2 or so pushes to register. I take it back in, they apologize and agree to fix it as its under their warranty. I leave and get a call that night that they had torn/snipped another wire. So it would be a couple days. Starting to get worried about their competency at this point, but am understanding. When I go to pick it up, I see the glass is still lifting off and insist they fix it while I'm there. Christian, the owner, steps in apologizes, and assures me he wants to do right and fix it, offers to bring it to me at work when it's done. I tell him it's okay and that I just really need it fixed. It's fixed in a few days, I pick it up, and don't have time to look at it more than a few seconds. The next day, Jen, Christian's wife calls me to check on it. I tell her that it's fine, because it looks like it is. The next day I am able to start using it... The screen is constantly registering touch at the bottom, the camera is inexplicably black all the time... And the kicker, the screen is still lifting off. I call immediately to let them know it's having issues and I'd be in the following Monday. I go in and politely ask them for a refund so I can put that money towards a working one, I had been understanding up until this point, but after 3 failed attempts and more issues than I brought it in with, it wasn't going to work out. Mind you, this whole process has left me ipad less (my only computer) for 3ish weeks. He told me it wasn't their policy to offer refunds and that he would try to fix it for me (he's sure to tell me this is a courtesy, because he didn't have to) for a 4th time. I told him that I didn't want to try a 4th time. He said that's all he could do. I said that was understandable, but it's also understandable that I'm not happy with how this has gone and will be letting everyone know my negative experiences. He told me that they don't take kindly to threats and at this point his wife, Jen, starts raising her voice and yelling at me...calling me a liar (because I told her it was fine on the phone, a mistake on my part) and saying this is ridiculous. Christian is trying to calm his wife down, because really who yells at a customer? And he lets me know that his offer stands to fix it for a 4th time but that's all. So I tell him I will pass and leave. I get a call and email apologizing again (saving face because of his rude wife?) and offering to buy my iPad. I appreciate the effort but seriously too little too late. I have no desire to return or see them again. So after all of this I'm out $84 bucks, my time and have an unusable iPad. Thanks guys! My advice... Avoid this place at all costs.

    Hi Kathryn, I deeply apologize for the negative experience you have had to deal with. If could give me the opportunity to help you then that is something I would certainly appreciate. I really do care and have been making every attempt to reach out to you. I, nor my company don't purposely upset or make anyones life miserable. We give a 90 day warranty on all of our equipment and have our customers sign a waiver indicating we are not responsible for loss of time, travel, or even negligence on our part so I was absolutely ready to fix your device, not just "try" to fix it, I wanted to fix your device and the situation. Some of the statements you have mentioned in your review seem like there is a major misunderstanding and miscommunication breakdown. Right before you left, you threatened to leave a negative review about us when I had explicitly asked and said to you that I wanted to work towards a resolution on this and I even asked for you to come up with an idea of your own. You told me that you wanted to put that money towards another upgraded iPad. Well sometimes It takes a few minutes for us to think of some ideas and I had come up with one that I wanted to share with you which I feel would make this whole situation a lot better. So as I had mentioned before to you, please contact me. Jennifer did apologize and would also like to apologize in person if you will accept her apology. She never called you a liar, she was just confused, as was I when we called to follow up about the second issue because we wanted to make sure we had taken care of the problem because we do care. Anyhow please contact me back because even though I cannot process a refund for this particular transaction, I still can get you your money and then some, plus "Customer Satisfaction" which is a goodwill gesture on our part but again, you have to be willing to let me help you. Yes we are human and we do make mistakes and we shelled out our own additional money to correct a problem that we made. The camera issue you speak about never happened in our presence nor was it giving us or you any issues when you came to pick it up however we would be more then happy to also look at this. Even after the different multiple threats of the negative review, and threatening with your father being an attorney and turning this over to him. I still asked for you to look in to your heart and give us another chance because I do want to make it right and I will, you just need to give me that opportunity.     I took my macbook pro to Christian after it was not booting up after turning it on. I spoke to his wife, Jennifer, on the phone several times. She was always kind, courteous and did a great job of explaining exactly where we were with my mac. Christian thought we might have to wipe my hard drive so he invited me to come down to the office where he went through all my picture so I could pick them out in order to make sure the pics I wanted to save where able to be saved. Christian was up front about the process and every step of the process in getting my macbook repaired. He explained what he was doing and what he would do if that didn't work. To my great delight and suprise, my hard drive did not have to be wiped. Christian was able to restore and repair it and my mac book is like new. I will tell EVERYONE I know who needs computer, tablets, phones,etc. to go to BIKTIK Solutions and see Christian and Jennifer. :) They were easy to work with and talk to. They made the process easy for me to understand. Their prices were reasonable and the contact was superb. It was a genuine pleasure to meet them both and be one of their customers. !

    The work done by Bit Tek Solutions is far and above any other computer company I have ever seen. Pricing is not complicated, just ask us and we will share it with you.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
This depends on what job it is that I am doing but I always introduce myself with a smile and a handshake. We make certain to get the information from my new customer like name, phone number email address, mailing address so that we can contact them while working on or with there equipment, but we also use this information for warranty purposes since I offer a standard 90 warranty on all my work that I do.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All the time, there are free courses online I take and have my employee take.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
It is my passion to do what I do, clear and simple. I would not of racked up several thousand dollars worth of student loans and spent so much time in my field learning the things I know if I did not share a drive and passion for what I do.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Virus removals, lcd and screen replacements, and educating clients.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am proud of all my jobs. I wouldn't have it any other way. If I feel the work was sub par, I start over or order a whole new piece or product. I am quite the perfectionist when it comes to my work, so if something is not right, then I make it right.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you know what you are getting. Price is not always everything. The saying you get what you pay for is very true. I do offer inexpensive services, however I bundle a lot of value in with my services.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I really do pride my business on giving the whole entire customer service experience. All from when you call us on the phone, walk in to my store, have your service, or repair, and then a traditional follow up phone call, email or even text.
