About

My son started piano lessons with Joyce in 2009 when he was just 6 years old. Her unique method of teaching made it possible for him to not only stick with it but to enjoy it as well. Having other students in the room using headsets is an ideal setting for people, particularly children, who don't want the high pressure of one-on-one constant monitoring. We also appreciated the every other week lessons for our busy schedules (we all get busy nowadays). Because Joyce cares so much, she was kind enough to line up a replacement teacher, using the same format she uses, to take all her students before moving to Florida. Although my son likes the new teacher too, he has since said how much he misses her. How many 9 year old boys would say, out of the blue, how much he misses his piano teacher? But that's Joyce. We love and miss her and wish her the best!!

About

I discovered Leslie through the Pennysaver after I was dissatisfied with my previous piano teacher, and I am very fortunate to have found her. Leslie's ability to teach at all levels is built on a foundation of strong fundamentals and an excellent understanding of music theory. I learn something new every lesson beyond just how to play pieces. And most importantly, Leslie keeps piano fun. I am an adult student so I am playing piano solely for my own enjoyment. Leslie strikes just the right balance of pushing me to get better while also keeping it enjoyable. I highly recommend Leslie, both for adults and children.

My daughter's (Edwina) experience with Brejoya has been wonderful. She looks forward to lessons. Her focus is on voice lessons but she also spends 20% (1 in 5) of her lessons on piano. She enjoys both and is looking forward to learning much more and performing publicly. Thanks for helping Edwina to fulfill one of her dreams and passions of being a highy skilled singer. Ed Brown

About

We are music teachers who come to your home. We teach fun, private lessons where they are most appreciated -- in your home! We teach piano, guitar, drums, violin, voice and more! If you want to play music you're looking at the right teachers. We are focused on making sure you can play music just as much as we are music theory and technique. Lessons are once each week, same time, and same teacher, and you should expect to have fun playing music. That's what we do.

About

I have been taking piano lessons from Ms. Bev for over 8 years now and she has been nothing but kind and helpful. I have learned music technique, history, and theory from her and I have improved greatly since I began taking lessons at the age of 8. She is very fun and incredibly passionate about music.

About

If you want to play the piano and even possibly make it your career, you have come to the right teacher! Several of my former students are currently playing and singing as a career. I have taught piano for over 30 years, and the exciting part about my teaching is that I offer both note and rote lessons. Reading music on the staff (sight reading) is familiar to a lot of people, but the ability to learn by rote (by ear) is exciting as well. I use music theory to teach how to build chords and use different voicings, as well as how to improvise within a given piece. Please listen to the video of Bridge Over Troubled Water and you will get an idea of how that method of teaching works. I have taught church choirs for 35 years, so I have a strong vocal background there. I've worked with small group acts and soloists as well. I love to teach harmonies and train the ear to be spot on with the pitch. I absolutely believe that you will not be disappointed, and will enjoy the learning process. I have a great sense of humor and contend that one must have fun while learning to get the best results!

About

Jen is an outstanding Piano teacher. She is kind and understanding as a teacher. She has done a wonderful job of teaching my daughter to be disciplined about practice. She has generously shared the knowledge needed to perform well in my daughters last 7 page concert piece. And, she even had the patience to teach this old dog some new tricks. Both, myself and my daughter appreciate her skill, her knowledge and her vibrant personality. Thanks so much, Jen!!!
