The first attempt I made to have this done left it a total mess. I have hired Hernandez Cleaning and Painting to paint 2 exterior doors and 1 fire door. Ultimately, they fixed the existing and made them very nice! I wish I had hired Hernandez the first time. Instead, I went with an extremely disappointing referral.

Okay, so I hired them to paint the interior of the house and do some drywall repairs and to hang a barn door. Overall, the quote came in very reasonably and the job was done. The house looks better for sure, but I was disappointed about a few things. 1st, the barn door, they hung it to high and the mounted it to a board and it doesn’t allow the door to open, so it had to be taken down and place again properly, repairing the drywall and the paint again. Also, the owner is really nice and responsible, his son helps him, but he comes and goes, says he will be there at 8:30 and shows up at 10-10:30. Floors were left chalky, like they tried to wipe down the paint that had gotten all over them. I hired a cleaner to come in and clean after they left. I am still finding paint on the dishwasher handle, doorknobs and light switch covers went missing and some weren’t taken off to paint at all. However, in the end, I got quotes that were up to 4000$ and they came in at half the price, so I can’t say anything terrible. His son is young, but it’s a vacate home and he did things like, left the back door wide open all night, when I set the alarm inside the police were called. They unplugged the Wi-Fi and the alarm systems battery back up worked, until it didn’t another day and the police came again. Other then the door and the lateness and the forgetfulness, the job wasn’t bad, just the barn door.

He was on time and gave a very reasonable estimate. Extremely professional! My son is visiting and offered to do the job so we canceled. He was very understanding. When we need more painting done we will definitely call Serhii to do the job.

Where can i begin? First, not being from the area, we relied heavily on reviews. Dimitri did NOT let us down; in fact, wish we could rate him with six stars! He is easy to communicate with, prompt, outstanding work quality as well. He is fair with his pricing and didn't try to take a shot with a ridulous low number nor a riduculous high price. Of a side note, he was hired to paint for us, yet he went above and beyond. He discovered our AC was not running (we are seasonal) and need this working/functual to prevent mold/mildew. He stayed and assisted the AC service company to diagnose the problem and fix it. Secondly, he made a special trip to our condo to tightly close our hurricance shutters that we left open for him (before we knew Tropical Storm Elsa was going to hit the area). He is dependable, responsible, easy to communicate with and goes way above and beyond! Right after the storm cleared, he came to do the job like he said and in the time frame he quoted. Dimitri, THANk YOU, it has been a pleasure to work with you for a fresh look to our condo, saving our AC and closing our hurricane shutter over the glass sliders (yu saved the day)!
