Before I started Voice Lessons with Naomi, I didn't ever consider myself a "singer". I would just say "I sing sometimes". I even went to Performing Arts Middle School, Performing Arts High School and had several vocal coaches before Naomi. Even my father was a vocal coach! But I knew the type of vocal coach I needed. Someone who wasn't "conventional" or "classical" and most of all... Someone who believed that I could sing as well as I wanted to! My first lesson with Naomi CHANGED MY LIFE! Not only did she understand what I was self conscious about with my voice, she PUSHED ME THROUGH it and did not give up on me until I had the voice I always knew that I could have! After one lesson, I knew there was hope. Just one lesson is all it took. Each continuing lesson, I became better and better and better until ALL OF SUDDEN, I found myself as the Lead Singer of THREE bands, with gigs as often as I said "Yes" and people coming up to me at gigs saying "I knew that was you singing!! I could tell by your amazing voice!" Well...that amazing voice was tweaked and prodded and worked over and over by the amazing Naomi! Without her I would have not had as much fun in the music world as I do, without her I wouldn't have gone as far as I have! Basically without Naomi, I would have never called myself a singer. Now, when someone say's "What do you do" I can proudly say "I'm a singer". I happened to marry a vocal coach and even still to this day...When I'm up on stage or I feel like I need a little help vocally, Naomi will forever be in my heart as the top vocal coach in this world!
Susan is wonderful, thoughtful, and really a treasure. She gets to know your voice on a personal level and is constantly catering her lessons specifically to you. If you're looking for the best vocal lessons you can find in Tampa, she's it.
I had always wanted to take voice lessons but due to the expense, it was something I had never pursued. It was only when I was cast in a community theatre musical production for a character outside of my vocal range that I decided to pursue the opportunity. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to study with Joe. He is very passionate about his craft. He is knowledgeable and efficient. His method of teaching is extremely comprehensive and with each lesson, I learned more and more. Over the course of our few weeks together, I expanded my vocal range and gained the confidence I needed to perform perfectly. My voice was noticeably stronger- not only to me, but to my family and my musical theater peers. He worked hard to accommodate my schedule and never hesitated to put in additional time. Recently, I was cast as a lead in another community theatre musical production. While my voice is pretty, I am confident that my ability to secure this role was because I had spent time working with Joe. I will continue to work with him throughout my community theatre endeavors and would recommend him to anyone seeking to improve their vocal range and/or skills. He truly is a wonderful teacher and this review does not do him justice.
Joseph came to give vocal lessons to my 11 year old and he was amazing!! She had a blast and we can't wait for the next lesson :)
Judi has a great voice and works in a wide variety of singing and musical styles, with her bubbly energy shining through in every song. She is a warm stage presence and touches the audience's heart with her personal approach. A consummate professional!
I would recommend Evolution of Music to anyone looking to get started or continue lessons. They make it really easy for you to get started and never make you feel pressured luke some other places. Abby and the staff are great and very knowledgeable and skilled at their instruments. If you are in the Palmetto area they are your best bet!
I look forward to my vocal lesson every week. Tommi is a great instructor. She has a great, bubbly personality, and is very fun to work with. I believe she is the type of instructor who can work with a wide variety of age groups, and skill levels. Be it tone, pitch, or range, I've noticed that Tommi has a refined ear for determining what each singer specifically needs in order to move towards personal individual improvement. I've had vocal lessons from a variety of vocal professionals throughout my life. These instructors had various musical backgrounds that included, Broadway, European Opera, Church Chorus, and more. Although all talented, none of them used the same incredibly effective technique, and teaching style that Tommi uses. Her method is very modern. It incorporates a scientific, methodical approach towards vocal improvement, and safety. The important thing is to trust Tommi's method, give it time, and most importantly practice! I practice consistently throughout the week, and I can say with absolute certainty, that I have noticed a drastic improvement in the tonal sound, and quality of my voice. Give Tommi a call today for a lesson. Trust her method and practice.
I studied voice for a period of 6 months with Alfredo Olarte. He taught me the breath technique and support that was used by Mercedes LLopart, Alfredo Kraus, and his brother, baritone Francisco Kraus who was his main teacher and others. This appogio technique was the begining of the platform to build my voice, then he taught me some old italian school vocalizing with clear vowels that reinforced my vocal folds over time, stacatos and legato singing excersices. He also taught me how to maximize the oropharyngeal resonance by using the muscles of the face. I studied with over 10 voice teachers but I only mention two that are worth a fortune . Alfredo is one of them. Giuliano Zanatti. Tenor.
Our daughter really enjoyed her voice lessons with Bach Entertainment.
Working with Gayle has been a wonderful experience. I came to her for voice lessons, but overtime I realized that I am gaining so much more. She is highly skilled and makes me feel so comfortable. Gayle has not only helped me with the technical aspect of singing, but she understands that singing is more of an emotional experience. She has helped me break through a lot of self limitations, free of judgement. I value our lessons and look forward to them each week. Thank you Gayle for helping me tap into a part of myself that I've dreamed of for so long.
My grandchildren love taking lessons at Creative Keys and especially enjoy performing at the recitals. I'm looking forward to seeing how much they'll grow musically over the coming years!
Flexible with schedule, open to ideas and easy to work with. Very happy with the outcome of our choreographed wedding dance!
KeriAnne is such a wonderful person and has made my singing improve so much. It is so much fun working with her and the improvement in my voice is unbelievable. I have learned so much about my voice and how I use it. She is amazing.
We provide lessons at beginner and intermediate levels. We work with groups for music theory, piano, and vocal training. We offer a special training for keyboardists using electronic keyboards, midi, and music workstations for music composition. Training is available for worship/music directors.
A lot of music teachers only focus on technique and theory. And a lot of teachers just show people how to play songs. We show individuals how to do both. Having fun playing songs and knowing technique and theory are equally important, because if you just learn songs, you'll only know how to do that and not really know how to play an instrument. While technique and theory are important, it can be boring and frustrating to focus primarily on that. At New Tampa Music Lessons, we balance musicianship and fun by making sure that with each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always end with something fun such as your favorite riff or song. We use a variety of method books to accomplish this and encourage students to bring CDs or their iPod to their lesson to learn their favorite tunes.
We are warm environment and tight musical community. Children learn from their peers and work together with parents. Ear training, music theory and group classes as well as private provide a well-rounded approach. We emphasize character building with music learning. A beautiful heart produces beautiful music.
I have studied classical piano, jazz piano, and contemporary art for 12 years now. I studied at Howard University in Washington D.C. I play for several companies in Sarasota, as follows: Florida Studio Theater, Westcoast Black Theater Troupe, Ivory Lounge, and Gator Club. If you are looking to improve in reading or ear training, I am skilled in both.
I concentrate on a working foundation which can then be built upon. In that foundation I teach a healthy technique that can be used throughout your musical endeavors.
My services include voice lessons, piano lessons, organ lessons, music theory or history tutoring, writing tutoring, computers and software tutoring.

My name is Justin E. Walden, and I am from East Tennessee. My musical heritage stretches back to age 8 when I first started to learn how to play the guitar from my dad. He was the greatest musical influence in my life and still is. After exploring the guitar, I decided to venture out and try the banjo, then the mandolin, and finally the violin. I never really got into sports during my childhood, but I sure drove my parents crazy with squeaky strings when I first began to play. EXPERIENCE By and large, my full-time musical career started at around age 12 when I began playing with my family band, The Crystal Road Band. During my stint with my family band, I performed on average of 150 bookings per year. Here I alternated between instruments to fill in the gaps of lost members to maintain the full sound of the music. After 8 years of on-stage performance and studio sessions, I gleaned many insights on musical styles and concepts that have helped me in my musical career. While performing with my family band, I was able to also perform with some of the most talented performers such as Paul Williams & the Victory Trio, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, and many other great artists.
