Tim Collins was my instructor as a teenager and used his unique way of teaching to help enable me to express myself through music. Ultimately, the things Tim taught me about musical theory have taken me on the road with my band and have allowed me to share the stage with some very successful bands. More than anything, he was able to give me the ability to bring my thoughts and feelings to life through rhythm and melody. Very grateful to have had Tim as a mentor.

My 12-year old son decided he wanted to take piano lessons; we found Mike and things have been going great! Mike has the patience my son needs, and the willingness to answer his random questions. Things couldn't be better; I highly recommend!

I can help students achieve higher grades on State sponsored solo festivals. I am a certified NYSSMA (NYS School Music Assoc.) adjudicator who travels across New York State to many festivals each year. I'll listen to about 50 different students each festival I work. This kind of experience is invaluable in my teaching.

    About

I've been teaching beginner and intermediate guitar for a decade and have always had very satisfied students. I am a teacher at heart, and I tailor my teaching plan to each student's individual needs and style. My background is not in formal classical training but in a self-taught, experience-driven learning style that I have used mostly in contemporary church settings (playing the acoustic guitar). I teach the fundamentals of playing the guitar along with enough music theory (scales, key signatures and transposition) to help students thrive as competent musicians and continue to learn long after they learn from me. My goal is to help my students derive the most enjoyment out of learning the instrument as well as achieve their unique goals, such as performance, personal expression (songwriting), or service in a community or church band. I work with all ages, and satisfaction is guaranteed.

    About

I offer string instrument music lessons for young and old. I know any style on the guitar, country acoustic, classic rock electric, and bluegrass banjo. I teach beginners only on fiddle and mandolin and music theory on clarinet.

    About

I teach any instrument and any type of music. Unlike most teachers that have a set curriculum for all students, I adjust my teaching so every one of my students is getting exactly what they need. I am also the most reasonably priced music teacher in the area. While the average lesson rate is $50 an hour, I try to stay between $10-$20 an hour.
