Advanced Massage and Healing | Misa Taskh, LMT
About this pro
As a licensed massage therapist since 1992, I've witnessed the amazing power of the body to heal itself... with a little help! For years I believed deep tissue work was the best way to achieve healing. What I've learned working with thousands of clients, is that actually the smallest input will often result in the greatest changes. This has led me to the work of Dr. William Sutherland and Dr. John Upledger known as Craniosacral Therapy or CST. This transformative modality, together with Dean Juhan's Resistance Release work, today make up the core of my bodywork practice. I let each person's body guide the session and "tell me" where it needs help. Sometimes it is not even where the pain or tension is today, but can instead be traced to the the site of an old injury or stress, sometimes years old. Each person and each session is unique. I am continually amazed at the way the human body adapts to stress and how easily it heals when given the opportunity and a little bit of help.
Customers rated this pro highly for work quality, professionalism, and responsiveness.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Sessions run from 60 to 120 minutes ranging in cost from $80.00-160.00. Although there is no additional charge, we spend several minutes during your initial appointment to go over your intake questionnaire.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We'll talk briefly on the phone to set an appointment time, discuss rates/insurance reimbursement and billing options, the cancellation policy and answer any questions you have. I'll tell you how to find the office and can email you the intake questionnaire if you would like to fill it out before your appointment. When you come for your first session, we'll go over your health history, do a physical assessment, discuss your goals for treatment and how we can work together toward those goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am licensed in both Oregon and Florida. Both these states have requirements for continuing education to maintain licensure. I also have advanced education in Upledger Craniosacral Therapy, Barral Visceral Manipulation, Dean Juhan's Resistance-Release, neuromuscular reeducation, myofascial release and various energy balancing techniques.
